I want to be a registered nurse. I am going to go to college for 2 years for an associate degree in nursing. I would really love to work with the newborns and mothers. I do not know what hours I would have to work, and what kind of nurse would I be? Do registered nurses work in different fields? I know I want to work with people, take care of people, and learn about health. I am just confused about some aspects of nursing and what I want to do in nursing! Help me out as much as you can! I believe they are neonatal nurses, and they make a TON of money! Hours are long, but schedules are flexible.

Nurses who work full time in hospitals are usually hired for and assigned to a particular unit - you could look for a job in a maternity ward after you get your schooling. Part of your schooling will include exposure to various areas, so you might find out more areas that you like.
Good luck. Good nurses are very much in demand, so it's a good career choice if you like it.

You want to be a Doula! They go home with mothers and teach them how to care for their baby while helping with chores and childcare for about a week after the baby is born.
