I have a tattoo ( a really nice koi fish ) that is now 6 months old and is totaly healed. But there are areas of scar tissue where the artist had to do detailed work, and these places arealways dry and itchy. I use regular lotion but it comes right back. any suggestions?

This is a bit of a long one...
About 2 years ago I pierced my own navel ( bad idea I know now!) anyway, it got infected, but healed and I had it done 'professionaly'. They pierced it to shallow, and it got infected. I've left it out about a year now it was still quite red and hard as there was scar tissue, and last week i noticed that the hole was still basically there so pushed a navel bar through with no problems.
It's been 5 days now, it doesn't hurt at all and theres no puss or anything, but it is quite red. Only between the two holes, but it is redder than before. Is this a sign it's going to get infected again?
What should I do to try and stop it messing up again?!!

It is obvious that anyone in a senior position, would not have tattoos or body piercings, esp any visible ones! How many of you with visible tattoos and piercings have got a decent job?
Especially one where the public are involved!

The cuticles on my toenails are always really dry. How can I keep them moisturized? What are good products? I don't usually moisturize my feet after I shower because then it feels weird to put on shoes.

Did you like the results of it? Its supposed to fight blemishes and tighten pores also. I found it works very good but I'd like to hear other opinions. Thanks!

i have oily skin only on my fore head and nose but it looks so gross compared to the rest of my skin. i dont really have red acne on my face just oily skin. i can wash it off but later it comes back and no i dont touch my face. so i was wondering what could i do to help prevent it. should i use a sunscreen? does clean and clear shine control work all day? is there anything good that works(and try to be cheap please)? and i know about oil blotting paper but i want another way because its weird going to the bathroom all the time to blot my face in privacy.
thanks

My son is hiding the fact he wants his ears pierced. I don't mind him getting them done, but I know he is frightned to ask. I have mentioned the topic twice and refuse to answer. He acts more gloomy than ever now and I know he will be happier if i get them done.
His school won't let him have it done, but that doesn't matter because he can just take it out.

What I want to know is, how can I confront him?

from your parents? even though your in your 20's or 30's!

We all have tattoos cause they look good
& that was why we choose to have them.

I am really scared to get my ears pierced (I AM A BOY)because:
> my school does not allow us to have it done (i go to city of london private school)
> afraid to ask my parents - however, my dad has mentioned recently of getting his and my ears pierced? i am not too sure if he has read one of my previous questions on yahoo answers about getting my ears pierced

WHAT SHALL I DO? GET IT PIERCED? WHICH EAR? WHY?

REMEMBER I AM A BOY NOT GIRL!

My first tattoo was a tribal butterfly on my left foot. Small, simply, pretty. My second, now three days old, was a beautiful black rose on the top of my right foot. Let's put it this way, it's so freaking big that my heavily tattooed artist thinks that I am a badass for going through it (something about the foot being the worst place painwise for getting a tat). My next will be a fairly large fairy on my right calf, but that's not to be worries about.

What I want to know is weather or not I'll be able to handle the fairy wings that I want covering most of my back. That is the tattoo I really wanted and have wanted for years, but it's just so big that I'm not sure I could handle it. You think it would be easiest to go and get the outline done, then shade in one wing, then the other? Or better in one long sitting? I'm NOT the girl that goes numb after 20 minutes, quite the opposite. It starts out all fine and dandy then slowly goes into and "ouch ouch ouch" sensation.

I am curious to know how people feel about getting "jobs" done on them. What would be enough reason for people to want to have it done and actually get it done.

OK. I've been looking through the skin section, and I've heard toothpaste can get rid of pimples. I have some pimples my self so I was just wondering:

1. If this really works?

2. How long the treatment would take to get rid of pimples.

3. If it works, what type of toothpaste is best (keep in mind I have sensitive skin)?

I've been using the Neutrogena home microdermabrasion kit on my face for about five weeks and noticed, about a week ago, that I have these tiny bumps on my jawline and forehead now. They aren't red or painful- just bothersome to feel and see up close. Anyone have experience with this? Should I discontinue using it? I really like the results I get using it, otherwise.
