Go see Bob Jones from Insight Studios on Milwaukee Avenue. Seriously. I own a tattoo studio in the area, Perfection Dermagraphics, yet we send ALL our piercing clients to Bob.

I'd have to go with the tattoo being the most painful. While I have never gotten one, I have been told about the pain. Not to mention the fact that,depending on how big the tattoo, it could take hours of constantly being pricked by a needle in the same spot. I have my navel pierced (not my tongue), but it didn't hurt in the least. I would have to believe the tongue hurts more- I would never get that done! And I love piercings (currently have 8- 6 more on the way!). It's all about your pain tolerance. Everyone's different.
