it really depends on the tattoo you chose and the artist that does it. many artists charge differently too. mine charges by the hour and my back piece has cost over $2,000. some artists are cheaper and some are much more expensive. you really need to chose the artist who will do the best job for you and just go from there. mine was done over the course of almost two years... actually i am getting mine finished in a couple of weeks and it will have taken 19 months so i wasn't out $2,000 all at once, it has been a pay as i go thing.
good luck!

On average tattoo, work costs about $100 an hour or more. So it just depends on where you go, and how long the piece would take!

Do not shop for price! Shop by their portfolios. You want the best tattoo artist you can find to do the job!

There is no way to give any rough estimate in this case.

The fact is that if you have to ask that, you're not ready for such a tattoo. I'm not being rude, but I also don't need to explain to you how it all works.

it depends on the artist, the detail and other things.

a rough price estimate: anywhere from $50 and a case of beer to $100,000.
