Makeup - August 2007

The only lip gloss I use (Bare Escentuals gloss in "Classic") is no longer available, and I'm almost out of my last tube. I won't order a different color ($) without trying it first because the color is never the same on my skin as it looks in a pic.

Any ideas what I can do?

I painted my nails black the other day with thick-ish polish and the next day it was all chipped. I have to re-paint my nails every day now and it really gets on my nerves!

Any tips?

ok so i always have to like use waterproof mascara cuz i tend to be an emotional person and have no clue when the heck im gonna end up cryin but everytime i use it, it just feels like it is just killing my lashes and i swear it makes them like fall out, o and usually i use fulln soft maybelline waterproof mascara, im kinda also thinkin that part of the like dryin of my lashes out is its been a few months since i bought maserca, idk
basically i wondering if there is a good mascara out there that will like outlast a good cry or sweat, it doesnt nessarly have ot be waterproof though just so it wont leave me lookin that a racoon

I just got powder foundation. Whats the best way to apply it without it looking too thick or caky. It came with a little pad, should I use that, or is a brush better? And, if I have it on all day, should I apply it sometimes during the day too? Or will it stay on OK?

I'm just starting to use make-up on a daily basis. I am 14 years old. I wear a little bit of tinted moisterizer, mascara, concealer, and blush and bronzer. I know it's important to take it off right before you go to bed but i dont know what to use?
When i go to the store i see so many and dont know what to get. Any suggestions of a good make-up remover that takes off all make-up including mascara? thanks!

One more thing-

Do you take off make-up then wash your face?
I'm thinking of using cetaphi facewash and moisterizer? are they any good?

yes i am asian (south) and im having trouble picking eyeshadow colors and im currently 14 years old

Please could someone tell me the best make-up to cover up black scars on dark skin.. when i used to have spots i used to foolishly pick my spots, and it left black scars all around my face..i recently brought mac's studio fix foundation - but it doesn't effectively cover up the scars as my scars are darker then my skin tone..
please please could someone advise me on the best product to use to effectively cover up my scars- as i have a very important job interviewing coming up and want to cover them up completely!!

im 14 and during the summer holidays ive been sleeping late and waking up late, like sleeping at like 2-3am and waking up at 12. and now its the end of summer and my eyes are nasty because they were so dark and baggy. i wanna know what i can use to reduce the baggage.. or hide it? ive tried using my foundation which seems to only hide a BIT of the darkness but then the bags seem more apparent

I know the Body Shop sells natural conceaer but I've been wondering what else is out there. I find natural beauty products work best on my skin, and help prevent breakouts. However the concealer I normally use isn't chemical free....Also when purchasing concealer, does anyone have any advice on finding the right color?

Then there is the lipstick. I'm dressing in 20's attire for a party and red lipstick was very popular then. I don't currently own any because I'm not big on lipstick.
