I'm just starting to use make-up on a daily basis. I am 14 years old. I wear a little bit of tinted moisterizer, mascara, concealer, and blush and bronzer. I know it's important to take it off right before you go to bed but i dont know what to use?
When i go to the store i see so many and dont know what to get. Any suggestions of a good make-up remover that takes off all make-up including mascara? thanks!

One more thing-

Do you take off make-up then wash your face?
I'm thinking of using cetaphi facewash and moisterizer? are they any good?

thanks SO much for your help! =)

All you really need at your age is one good cleanser and a moisturizer. Sometimes it is a matter of experimenting to find one that works for your skin type and price range.

Many experts will tell you that there are very good, low priced products.

While you should "try" to remove your makeup every night, we all know sometimes we are just too tired. However, at your age you may need to worry about blackheads, acne and pimples.

Throughout your life make sure you adequately moisturize your skin, neck and shoulders as well as your body. You will remain young-looking all your life.

Hi Fashion freak, Yes I do remove my makeup everyday, and I have been doing so since I was 15, I am 30 now, and I do get compliments on looking younger, so keep cleansing your face every night.

I like Ponds face wash or neutrogena face wash (wipes or liquid). Depending on your budget- even Clinque's comforting remover is good.
Make sure to cleanse your face softly and then apply a good moisturiser based on your skin type.

When I was younger, I didn't have much money to buy cleansers, so I used to remove my makeup with milk and cotton and it worked great!

Hope this helps

currently I am using a product from mary Kay facial cleansing cloths they remove makeup, dirt and mascara , but you can find those in any brand, you just take a cloth wet it and lather and scrub you makeup off with it and it also leaves your face silky soft and then right after I use Proactive the cleanser, then toner, then night cream , I dont have acne but I like to use heavy duty washes so that I always have flawless skin, but you can use any face wash , but yes you take your makeup off first before you wash your face. A moisterizer is good like you said at night when your sleeping. I dont know what a cetaphi is but check with your parents or guardian see what they think. It's so good that your washing daily because if you sleep with your makeup on when you get older your face will age more and you can break out if you dont wash up every morning and night. Hope this helps and also find the right wash according to your skin type such as oiliy, dry, sensitive etc. All of the washes have skin types on them to find the right one for your face.

Yes, you should ALWAYS remove your make up daily!! Especially at your age when your hormones will be changing soon... you don't want to make any acne you may have worse.

Any over the counter facial cleaner will be better than nothing; however everyones skin is a bit different and you may need to experiment if you have naturally dry or oily skin. Read the labels, most of the time they'll specify what skin type they are for!

I know that ponds makes makeup remover pads, that are much less messy than liquids and won't burn your eyes when removing eye makeup (which is the most difficult to get off) like some facial cleaners!!

Hope that helps. :)

Find a face wash soap that works well with your skin. You may need to try a few before you find the right one. Definately wash your face every night before bed. This will take off the makeup and excess oils from the day. Then use a moisturizer.

You should definitely take off your makeup every night. First use a makeup remover. Any kind will work. Either get liquid and use a cotton makeup pad, or there are also pre-moistened towelettes. Then wash your face. Don't scrub at your eye area or you'll have wrinkles when your older!!

It is VERY important to remove all of your makeup before you go to bed. Whether you shower or not at night. You can EASILY get a nasty eye infection from leaving it on and getting into your eye. I have gotten one before and it is not fun... at all. I use Mary Kay makeup remover. Its super good, it just comes right off. Its a tad bit pricey but you get what you pay for... If I am out of that and haven't gone to get any more, I just use Vaseline. Thats works well, not as good as Mary Kay though. And yes, I do wash my makeup off in the shower. I have raccoon eyes when I get out but thats where the remover comes in! Good luck with your search!

I usually dont wash my face and take off my makeup until I get up in the morning. I should wash it at night though. I would use an oil free eye makeup remover and for the rest of your face the cetaphil is great. It wont dry out your skin. Just pat dry when finished.
