i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what kinds of products to buy and what they recommend for someone like me..i have black hair and brown eyes and sort of olivey skin. and im persian if that helps at all lol, im just new to the whole make up scene and it seems like alot of girls keep their makeup secrets to themselves! :(

okay.. yes girls keep these tips secret because what works for you may not work for me and vise versa. the best thing i will recommend to you is to go to your mall, find the biggest department store like Macy's or a makeup store like Sephora and they have assistants who will help you find the makeups that fit you the best. and you don't even have to pay them. or you can just use the large range of samples and testers they have available. i also have the features you described. i don't do much makeup now but when i did i through my eye makeup was most important. if you cant do anything else, get a nice mascara, nice shades of eye shadows [not too bright or dark] and use a black pencil eyeliner. also always use a lip gloss. if your lips look chapped, this kills everything. also to look refreshed, use a little bit of blush on your cheekbones. =]

I go to the makeup counters at department stores and ask for a makeup application. You don't have to buy it but you get to see and feel what a consultant would use for you. Sephora, MAC, Clinque, and Chanel are nice counters to visit. When you have had several facials list the things that you loved and buy those items or find less expensive versions of them to save money. Right now I have a MAC Kohl eyeliner, a MAC paintpot for eyeshadow, MAC blush, mascara and a lipstick and a gloss. I wait until the shipping is free and I order it online. Persian coloring is rich and flattering on a woman. Bobbi Brown and Iman carry a good range of products for women of color. I would advise you to check their websites. Go to bobbibrown.com and click on Looks & Tips. Although they do not have Mediterranean Women as a subcategory, I think that you would fall under Hispanic (same shades for skin and hair). Good luck!

Well For brown eyes defiantly go for like greens for blues for eyeshadow. For eyeliner go for a dark deep blue or a Dark brown. If your skin is kinda dark than a deeper pinkish red for blush. But if you have lighter skin than go for the dirty lighter pinks. (dirty meaning like with a little bit of browns.) If you dont have zits than dont use cover up or foundation. And never use a lot of makeup a little goes a long way!!! Makeup is for enhancing not hiding! Always use back Mascara! Great Lash is a great brand for mascara and i love Mary Kay for eye liner! If you do use foundation or cover up only put it on the spots where you need it! and if you have freckels DO NOT cover them up!!! they are cute and guys love them! good luck and i know you will look great!

CoverGirl has good makeup and usually not too expensive. You should experiment with different eye shadows too see which colors you like best on you. If you have good complexion then dont worry about using foundation or anything like that cause it can cause pimples or whatnot, but you could use a light bronzer to give a healthy glow to your face. ok. I'm half lebanese so we have about the same skin colouring... I like to exentuate my eyes, first brush your eyelids with shimmery golden eyeshadow[very lightly, just so it highlights your eyelids] then I line them with black eyeliner [just the inner rim] and add some black mascara. Then lightly cover up any blemishes... and peach lipgloss.

fist of all im a guy so i dont know much about make up but i think a lot of girls dont really need it to me they look just as good with it as they do without it and if you do use make up for the love of god dont put the whole thing of lipstick on your lips i hate when girls do that i think it looks horrible, and with make up its better to be subtle if you use it

Hmm I use liquid eyeliner, clinique concealer (VERY lightly) NYC lipliner roxmysox, and aishwarya rai loreal lipstick
