Noone "needs" foundation. Some women feel better with it, some don't. It's a personal choice.

just a need to want to look better. concealer is usually used for dark circles , scars. foundation can be very sheer or heavy in coverage and everything in between. there are tinted moisterizers that provide a sheer coverage and new powder mineral makeups that you just brush on. they make a big difference. with a really good makeup application , you would not be able to see that the person is wearing foundation. it would appear to be natural.
make up foundation should enhance ones appearance. you look at the person and think they are attractive . you should not be looking at the person and thinking gee that is a pretty shade of pink lipstick.

usually many eople wear it to even out skin tone!! I use it everyday, but got to stop a little! lol or acne,and scars.

And also foundation can give you extra sun protection, and generally protection from the elements for your skin. Also someone who wears it is more likely to cleanse their skin properly!
