Your undertones matter :) Do you know them? That would really help people pick colors for you.
A reddish blush usually looks good on skin tones like yours, if yours is like your avatar. I have darker skin too and what works with lighter skin doesn't always work on us. Darker skin tones look magnificent with luminizers, I have one by Red Earth called secret potion. If you have full lips, it is worth searching for the perfect nude color. Mine is free of any pink hue and looks great paired with dramatic eyes, people compliment me on it. It looks like it will be too pale but it's like the "invisible lip" trend that is popular right now.

The best tip for darker skin, is color! If you don't have color, you won't stand out! Try greens, blues, purples, bright pinks, and don't forget eyeliner! Plus, mascara is a must. Also, if you are younger, you might want to go for a gloss and not a lip stick, it is easier and you don't have to stay exactly on the lines of your lips. Also, for blush, try a pink. Not a pink that will make you look like a clown, but a soft pink. Also, for foundation- if you need it- try clinique, the are always friendly, and ready to help you!

You should use a purple or a green. Most likely liquid eye liner will draw attention to your brown eyes and the brown and green will mix beautifully. For blush I'd say a light red but you really don't need any. When you put on eyeshadow dip your brush into water lightly and try to blend it in.

well of course you need a tan makeup,I highly recommend the mineral makeup,it is great just remember blend, blend, blend always even the eyeshadow. For eyeshadow try a very light beige all over the lid followed by a medium plum or purple on the entire lid then line upper and lower lids with black pencil and smudge it for a smokey look. Then a coat or two of black mascara &then a sweep of blush and some lipstick should finish up your new look.

Skin tone is a key consideration. You want makeup colors that match your skin tone. Here's how to determine yours:

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

If you have a warm tone - consider navy, coffee brown, brownish reds & pinks.

If you have a cool tone- consider sapphire blue & berries (reds & pinks w/ a blue undertone).

golden tan tones would look best on ur skin. applying make up has alot to do with the brushes you use to put it on. try sephora.com or mac.com for good brushes and they will have the best make up. I would suggest using a bronzer on your skin not blush.
