Hair - October 2007

I have long length hair
and its very curly,but im getting it straightened permenetley.
and i really want a fun funky hair cut so i thought scene, but the thing is i dont want it crazy because i dont want to spend lots of time using lots of hairspray and combing. so how should i get it so its fun and funky and has a little feel of scene hair?

Hi Hi,
So I'm really quite horrified that I might have lice.
My head itches on top of my head and sometimes the back and every once in awhile around the ears.
But I'm scared it might just be because I'm paranoid?
Most of the white stuff in my hair flakes out really easily, but there are a few things that are attached to strands of hair themself. they dont come off when I flick but they slide up and down the hair really easily without fingers.
I had my boyfriend check my hair and he said he saw nothing, and I checked his hair thoroughly and he definitely just had dandruff. If I had live he would have it too right, especially since we sleep in the same bed with eachother every night?
Also, I purchased the lice and nit removal combs and combed through my hair pretty thoroughly. I found no actual bugs, but there was white stuff on both combs, but not sure if what was on them was nits or jus tmore dandruff.

Yeah, i realize its a lil thin in the corners... thank you genetics on that one haha.... but its senior year so why not try a shag or something like that...my girlfriend wants me to and what can i say...im whipped...haha but i have no idea how to grow a shag hair cut... id like to but i have no idea how... can somebody give me some help here? or does my hair not work for a shag? i guess my main concern is do i need to cut my hair into layers or somethin crazy like that or just let it grow out? also, like the part of my hair closer to my scalp is soft and all but the top never gets as soft no matter what... any suggestions? thanks!

i noticed that whenever i flat iron my hair, it usually looks pretty nice up until the bottom layer's end of my hair. it's just...hard to explain it's messed up...my hairs somewhat short about an inch or two below my shoulder and layers. Will it become less obvious when my hair gets longer or should i ask for another cut?

So, i've been dark for quite a while now (which several chocolate/toffee tones). At times, i've had blue and blonde highlights too, so i'm no stranger to colouring my hair.
But I feel like a bit of a change.

I'm dying it monday but I havn't decided what color. I was thinking red in the front and black in the back with blonde tips in the front. Or that except instead of red maybe orange. I wanted to go bleached blonde all over but my hairstylist told me that it would fry my hair.

I need advice. :(

I've wanted long (lower back length) hair my entire life and am willing to start letting it grow, however my hair is a little thin. Even though it's on the thin side it's not limp though, it's actually rather big due to it's wavyness. But still i come back to my question, should i grow it out? I was thinking of purchasing one of the more expensive, ceramic flat irons from a local salon, because when they styled my hair the other day, the flat iron worked wonders! However, it costs about $120.00. The flat iron I own now isn't the greatest. I think I bought it for $30.00 and it isn't ceramic. For those of you who own these more expensive flat irons, are they worth the investment? Or should those of us stick with the $30.00 irons from Wal-Mart?
