It depends on if you want to or not. Don't cut it off because of pressure to conform to society's ideals. If you love your hair, keep it long! Whatever makes you feel good. But if you are tired of it and want a new look, then cut it. In all things, just be yourself. It's the best person you can be.

I would say yes! You also used the word "hippie" which would have been in fashion over 30 years ago. Time for a change. My husband also had long hair when i met him and it was such a nice change when he cut it. Also the same for Jon Bon Jovi!

Hell-to-the-know if you truly are a hippy. Don't conform, brother.
But honestly, if you are a former (or current) rocker and have had this do' since the nineties, I would consider whacking it into a cute little messy do'. Don't go too short or you might shock yourself. You might even find that you look totally different.
If the fear alone of change is what's holding you back - don't let it!

Like the others said, don't let arbitrary pressure to conform coerce you into doing something you really don't want.
Me personally? Most guys with short hair are kind of boring to me. But hair that's too long can look lifeless. Fortunately, there's a lot of room in between. You don't have to have it really long or really short. I advise you to compromise. Try shoulder-length or a little shorter. There's no harm in experimenting, ya know?

Yeah, it is out of date. However let a haircutting school cut them off. Maybe they can use the hair for their dummy practice heads or for wigs. You are giving a donation.

I personally think short hair is better for guys thats me though. I just think its hot.
But its YOUR hair. If it looks good on you keep it. Maybe only cut off some of the legnth?

Some guys look really hot with long hair. Some look hideous with long hair but fabulous with it short. Without pictures, we can't tell which category you fall into. If all else fails, ask your friends.

No way, not if you've grown it like that all your life!!! If it suits you then you should definately leave it. If it looks stupid then obviously you should cut it off.
I love long, shaggy hair on guys.... as long as they wash it and it's not greasy and yuck .

i just cut my hair short( up to shoulders)
and i LOVE how easy it is to take care of it
if you like long hair then get a shag cut
thats always hot =]
