I noticed that my hair tended to break easily especially when combing it but lately it has gotten a lot worse. Its gotten so bad that there are always hair on my carpet; I dont even notice that I lose so much sometimes! I am a 20 year old female. I dont think that the problem is genetic because although my father has a bald spot on his head, my brothers do not have any hair loss problems and my grandfather still has all his hair. I dont get enough sleep and dont really have a proper diet; my nails also tend to break easily-- I think this might be related? This is also a very stressful time for me...Also the top of my scalp gets sore sometimes and the hairs growing there become coarse and thick. They break off easily. The rest of my hair feels soft and looks healthy but I want to fix this problem before it gets worst...what should I do to fix it? Would putting some sort of oil in my hair to moisturize it help?? Thanks for your help!

I was looking at getting a new haircut but I'm not sure exactly what to get. I don't want anything short like above the shoulder. Should I get bangs or not? Anyone have any ideas or website I can look at. Please help

I have dirty blond hair almost dark brown with some grey these days : ( It was blond when I was a kid. I have highlighted it for years and it became really damaged and it was suggested to start coloring it. So I have been doing that for over a year now. My problem is these colors are not human! How do I obtain the really pretty sun blond colors you get with the bleaching. I have used Clarol and Ion brands and I was using 8g and 10g and my hair was turning an orange color, I asked the store clerk and they said use a 9n and It looks better but still too dark. (BTW i use a 30 vol developer) How do I get a natural looking blond color.

ok, i just cut my hair to my shoulders and i can't seem to find a ponytail that looks good for me. my head is just too fat and my hair is not that thick so i need some pointers on what kind of ponytails will look good on me.

If you don't know what i mean by my head being too fat and my hair too thin, it just doesn't look good. i have a wide face i guess.(if any of that helps! lol)

I've had the same hairstyle for about 5 years now and i definitely need a change. I kind of wanted to grow my hair out, but i dont really know how long it will take. Any other ideas would be great! My hair is naturally straight.

Get a crew cut, then leave it alone for about two years, and somewhere along the line, you'll have a perfectly even hairstyle that perfectly suits you. Have you ever tried that?

Like how the sides of it look. I got my haircut and it looks a lot like this, the hairdresser made it look like that but I don't know how to do it myself. I have wax stuff but I don't know how to use it. :(

Was wondering if anyone knows the proper term for the pain one gets in their hair folicles from lightly rubbing the head. Like if you have your hair fixed a certain way for a long time or if you sleep on it funny and try to move the hair, it hurts your scalp. I experience this almost every day, it's quite painful sometimes; could it be because my hair is so long?
Please tell me what this is called.
