scalp gets dry too just like skin on the rest of your body. use conditioner and dont rinse out too soon. try milder shampoo and only shampoo a couple times a week. dont need to do it every day.

Sounds like you have dry scalp, get a good shampoo that is made for dry scalp(not dandruff) and it should help.

Noticed any bumps or redness...like a rash, maybe? If you changed your shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, etc. recently you could be having a reaction to it.
I also have a friend who's scalp starts to itch if she is under a lot of stress. lol Don't ask me why, but it does.

You just have dry scalp.
Use Head and Shoulders Dandruff shampoo, even though you don't have dandruff.
it works.

That happens to me too, my mother said once that it needs to be scratched thoroughly when I shampoo/condition it.
