I've had the same hairstyle for about 5 years now and i definitely need a change. I kind of wanted to grow my hair out, but i dont really know how long it will take. Any other ideas would be great! My hair is naturally straight.

Mr. Doctor Professor Patrick,
Growing your hair happens at the rate of one-half inch a month. The new surfer style will look great on you. It's grown across the forehead, from one side. It's a razor cut that is piecy, longer in front, on one side, and shorter on the sides, but longer than your hair is now. It looks great with streaks, to give the effect of having become bleached by the sun while surfing. On you, I think some bronze streaks would look great.

For one look at a surfer style, look at the cell phone commercial (Sprint, I think) where an older brother looks at how the younger brother has listed his friends on the phone. One is a giraffe, another a turtle, and one a pig. The older brother's hair style is the retro surfer's style.

I like your hairstyle how it is... it looks great but if you want to change things up then i would grow it out... it would look really good that way as well and you would prob look older with a longer shaggy hair style.

Get a good cut trim(salon)every 3 weeks to keep it neat. Look for someone with the same texture with a great cut and go to that persons stylist. It will be good for winter.
