Can you bleach your hair by washing it with lemon juice??

My friends told me that I could and that it was safe for my hair. I just think its a myth. Has anyone tried it before?

Not washing it with lemon juice, but combing it through your hair and sitting in the sun, day after day. It's terrible for your hair and your skin. If you want a lighter color, have your hair color treated by an experience professional.

Lemon juice doesn't bleach much but if u apply it and leave it and sit in the sun and later apply henna then the result is good it appears shaded and highlighted

i heard that you put a bunch of lemon juice in your hair & then sit out in the sun for a while. may have to do it a few times. i kind of want to do that on my reddish brown hair for interesting shine lol

yes my best fnrd tried it and i would seriously tell u not to try it! it burns the hair n makes it super dry.if u have really oily hair then still can give it a dry but anything from normal to dry to very dry hair wont benefit from this.instead get professional help!its not a myth but it clearly ruins ur hair.treat ur hair nicely and it wil behave nicely with u

if you put lemon juice in your hair ( or wash your hair in it) and then sit in a bright sunny area on a nice day, then your hair will probably lighten up a little

I've done this before however, I went in the sun after applying it. It did lighten a little bit but not much.
