Hair - October 2007

I get my gray hair around my face especailly around my ears, I hate it, but I act like it doesn't bother me but it does. My grays come back quite. I was thinking about coloring two different colors. What do you think please help, I am tired of people seeing me as a old person.

I told my hairdresser recently i needed to wash my hair every other day (it gets greasy again after a couple of days)...
He told me i should go to the doctor, that they might be able to get me some special shampoo or something to help...

I thought this was normal though???
I'm 18 (if thats any help) i assumed its just a teenage thing...
Hair gets greasy more often...etc.. yknow :p

Is it????

Can anyone explain what that is? Stylist did that to me yesterday, and she sort of explained it, but i want to know more. (she sectioned my hair (lots of them), put each section into a pony tail and then texture cut it. Also said normally she would color each section a bit different) Why do it? Styling tips? She used a "dry paste" to style it, but never heard of that. She was going for an edgy look, and got it! Not complaining at all, i love it, just want to make the most of it, so any tips or sites would be great!!

To make a very long story short, I had hair down to nearly my butt and asked for just the split ends to be cut off (about 4 inches) and for the layers around my face to be re-done as they had grown out. The stylilst ended up giving me HUGE CHOPPY layers around my ENTIRE HEAD! Everything is all cut up minus about 30-40 hairs in the very back which only had the 4 inches taken off. I did ask once "What are you doing" and she said "Don't worry, I cut it in sections for really really long hair" I figured well, every stylist must have their own way of doing things. By the time she was done, my mother and toddler had been waiting and my son was throwing a fit by then so I was in a hurry to leave. When I got home and really saw what all she had done I was devastated. I literally cried for an hour. I'm calling back today to at least get my money back. How can I tactfully say that it's NOT what I asked for and that if it was, it is still a horrible choppy haircut and should I ask for my $

I am really annoyed with my upper lip facial hair. I tried bleaching it and it didn't work. And I just tried using hair removal cream, does it grow back thicker and darker though? I have heard that plucking it stops it from growing, is that true? If I get laser surgery, is it guaranteed to stop growing? Please help!!

basically i dyed my hair black on wednesdau (live colour one) and not its thursday i want to dye it a sort of subtle purple colour. do u think this is a bad idea? like will it streak? please help! im jetting off to essex in the morning to see my BF and need to know what to do.

Model 178WS. My question is i didnt find this model in any othr stores not even in conair website.customer care of conair told me that, its an old model so not in the website & that it doesnt have any problem. So should i change it as its an old model? does anybody else used this before?which is best blow dryer to buy under 25$ w/ all these features?

I am a 20 year old female who has considered using this product. I had a very neagtive experience with hair extensions a little less than a year ago and my hair is slowly recovering. I have been taking futurbiotics hair, skin and nail supplements as well as Hairtopia vitamins. My hair is noticably thicker than after the extensions were removed. During the summer, I saw a dermatologist who specialized in hair loss. He told me that I did not have any bald spots and that all of my hair would grow back. He said I am young and healthy and do not have anything to worry about. I do see progress but I have been reading about Nioxin shampoo. It does seem to get good results but I am also constantly reading reviews where people say that it increased their shedding for a transient time period. I also see that most people who use it use it because their hair is actually thinning. Fortunately, I do not have that problem.Is it worth it to try this or should I stick to other thickening products?

i have sun blonde hair that has body to it and it comes up to the middle of my neck. i usually wear it down or in a black headband. do ya know any hot hairstyles? i have bangs that come up to the tip of my nose and i usually wear them as side swept bangs and i have an oval face. here is like a picture of what it looks like.

many schools do not allow the color of hair to be a non natural color (red,orange,pink) i and my neighbor believe that this intefers with freedom of expression what do you think?

I'm on the school dance team and it is required we all wear a ribbon in our hair. Only ONE(1) ribbon. So no piggy tails. Does any body have any ideas. The hair can not be sprayed with color. My hair is about 3 in at most bellow my shoulder. Our school colors are Maroon, White, Black, Silver. If that helps the ribbon is a screamer bow. It is maroon, white, and silver if you can help please do!

Ok, I have this really annoying problem that I'm sure many girls can sympathize.. I have enough lent in my hairbrushes to make enough sweaters for my new fall wardrobe. How on earth do I get it out, and more importantly, keep it out? I've tried keeping my brushes in plastic containers and everything but they still get full of lent, and worse it comes out on my hair and my fiancee is always having to pull it out. Are there any tips and tricks to prevent this? I can sit for an hour pulling lent out of a brush and I never can get it all out.. any tips for that, too? Thanks!
