I want to dye my hair but i dont know what colors to use?

Im a boy and i have long hair, i want to dye my hair but i have no ideas, and i dont even know how. can you guys/girls give my your opinions of what i should do. Heres a pic of me

if u r into weird colors you culd add orange and redish streaks. You could also go to a lighter color like drk brown. you could add blue streaks or something. Get creative!!

I'm guessing you will be dying your hair yourself. In this case, you need to make sure and look at the back of the hair color box and it has a hair color chart/guide- from your picture your hair looks dark brown if not black so you'll look at the black/dark brown and it will show you the color your hair will be after you've colored it (they usually get it pretty close)- most people think you will get the color on the box; however, if your hair is darker than the color won't be the exact color on the front of the box. If you want to do wild/non-natural colors, you really need to go to a salon to do that because the majority of non-natural color dyes do not stay in for more than a couple of days and fade very quickly.
The hair color comes with directions and make sure you use those gloves it comes with or your hands will be severly stained.

Personally, I think your hair color is fine and you shouldn't change it. However, if you do- it really is best to get it done at a salon because the color they show you is the color it will turn out- unlike do it yourself home coloring kits.

Albert, some bronze and carmel streaks would look great on you. I also think you would do well with the new-retro surfer look. Don't do the coloring yourself. The effect of retail hair coloring on hair as thick as yours would be disappointing. Whatever you do...please get it done by a professional..because the information on drug store colors is not accurate, and if you don't like it, then it may cost you alot more in the long run to get corrective coloring done in a hair salon.
