My husband & I are getting foster children. Some of those children could be black children. I've heard that black hair care is different than white hair care. We typically wash our hair daily with shampoo & conditioner. How often should I wash and what products should I use for the black children? I don't know anything about relaxers or perms or if those are necessary. I want to keep most things the same as in their previous homes, but if they're small children they won't be able to communicate those needs or special products to me. We're excited about expanding our family but we want to educate ourselves so we can plan for easy transitions for the children and us first. Good luck. 2D

I mean BLACK, blacker then black, so black i'll look like a raven lol. Should I go get it done professionally? Or, is there something I can find in the pharmacy that will do the trick? My hair is dark brown btw, so shouldn't be too hard eh?

I have tried almost everything that is the most obvious thing to do. I deep condition a lot and have used professional products recommended by my salon; I switch off the deep conditioners so it's not the same one every time. I use hot oil treatments once a week; sometimes twice. I cut my hair as often as it is needed to get the split ends off. I quit dying my hair 2 months ago. BUT: I still have dry hair. There is a few pieces that are the worst around my face and they bother me so much!!

I would like to know every possible remedy to help dry hair go away without the drasticity of cutting off all of my hair....I can't do it and I won't. So it's not an option. Please let me know if anything has worked for you.

The other day i had my hair highlighted all over with bleach. It was really dark brown before - almost black, and it's turned out a sort of orangey yelllowey red colour. I've been told off a hairdresser friend to get some blue shampoo, where can i buy it (cheaply!!) online? thanks.

Ever hear of an "extreme texture cut" Stylist did this the other day and i love it, but would like some sites that explain it. i want to learn more about different styling techniques for my new cut.

She put my hair in lots of sections , each section in a small pony tail and cut them. It is really short, almost pixie cut length. Not sure why this method is so "different", but the result is lots of spiking ability.

i was out of town at a convention and everynight I seen the same girl but she had a different color feather in her hair. It was sort of like a colored hair extention execpt it was a feather. Anyways it added a really nice touch to her attire and gave her a bit of flair and edge. I just wanted to know where could i buy something like that or if she just dyed feathers and put them in her hair.

I am a mom of two kids. one goes to kindergarden and the other stays with me at home. The only thing i ever do to my hair is, you guessed it, put it in a ponytail. I would like to do different things to it. There are times, believe it or not, that i go places and i would like to look nice. I was not raised all girly, more like a tomboy with my dad. So i didnt learn to much about stuff like that. I dont even wear makeup! all i wore was mascara. light shadow, and lipgloss in highschool. So can anyone give me ideas for wavy, medium frizz, long hair with a round face. Please explain to me HOW to do these hairstyles too. Thats my photo to help with ideas! sorry im not better looking : ( http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/Cruz416/Picture001.jpg

Okay, I've decided to be Goth for Halloween and would like to temporarily dye my dirty blonde hair to black. I am attending a party on Saturday and throwing a party on Sunday plus dressing up for Halloween and I do not want to use hair color spray -especially since I would have to use many cans due to my hair length goes to my mid back. I checked out 28 wash hair color but it says not recommended for dirty blondes. I don't mind it staying in for a while just not permanent.

Please reply if you know exactly how to do this without damaging my hair which took me a long time to grow and will be cut off once summer arrives for Locks of Love. Plus I work in a office setting.

I've really been thinking of dying my hair dirty blonde.
Right now it's about darkish brown, not too dark though. Do you think it will easily dye with a box of hairdye?

My hair is dark blonde and has a lot of variation. I've never dyed it before. Colors I want: bright purple (more bluish than not), bright red (stop-sign), or bright orange. Rememmber, I'mn talking solid colour, not some lame tint.

Also, I'm a pretty happy person with what you could call a boringly average style. I want to be crazy and rock n' roll without freaking people out or being called emo. How can I work this??

i heard that if your hair accidentally touches salt or somehow, salt spills on your hair, it will turn grey. anyone knows if its does, and if yes, why does it happen?

I have kinda wavy kinda curly hair, bu ti also love my hair straight, i was just wondering if any on knew of any straightening products that last a long time, because i always notice my hair un-staightening by like 2 in the afternoon. I just want a product that will keep my hair straight until i wash it, not before. Also, what are some good non-aerosol hairsprays?
