Do not brush your hair while it is wet. Hair is the most prone to stretching and breaking while it is wet.

After you shampoo, apply conditioner & then gently comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb before your rinse out the conditioner. Run water through your hair gently - don't swirl it & twist it. Then gently gather sections to squeeze out the water.

Use a super absorbent microfiber towel to press the remaining moisture in your hair after you get out of the shower. Spray on a leave in conditioner & comb out your hair again w/ a wide tooth comb if necessary. Start at the bottom & work your way upwards to remove any tangles.

The microfiber towel is more absorbent than a conventional terry cloth towel so it will help your hair air dry faster.

Only brush your hair while it is dry & use brushes w/ smooth tipped bristles that are widely spaced to avoid tearing your hair.

Since you have such long hair - avoid styles that pull your hair tight. Use smooth hair elastics and barrettes.

If you put your hair up, make sure to use enough pins to support the style so the weight of the bun, twisted braid, etc. doesn't pull on the roots.

Section your hair while it is dry. Twist each section & use a small pair of scissors to trim the splits that stick out. Trimming off the splits will prevent them from continuing to split upwards.

Having nice hair isn’t enough. We want beautiful hair. So it’s no wonder we’re always searching for the ultimate in healthy hair tips that will help us to keep great-looking hair within our power at all times. Well, unless there’s a massive gust of wind and you can’t be held responsible for the whims of nature, can you?

What to do:

Fit your hair care to your needs. OK, basic, but making sure you use a product designed especially for your hair type is essential for making a marvel out of your mane
Ignore the washing rulebook: maybe you have oily hair that needs daily washing or curly hair that looks best three days in – do what’s right for you
Hair is a huge part of our identity – which gives it a lot of power, so look out for it like you do for your skin: weather, the sun and pollution could wreak havoc on your hair, too. Shield it from the sun with a UV spray and use a moisturising conditioner in winter
Watch out for chlorine. Your hair could absorb less if you soak it in clean water before hitting the pool
To keep hair nourished and healthy-looking, try our Intense Repair Conditioner– plus it’ll help repair any damage after styling
When your hair is wet, a wide-tooth comb is your best friend. Brushes should be reserved for when hair is completely dry (when they can be your styling companions)
Think of your hair when you’re in the supermarket. Enjoy a balanced, healthy diet including oily fish and you might notice your hair getting happier…

I love Garnier Fructisse. They have so many different brands and for alot of different types of hair too. Don't shampoo everyday unless your hair is just really nasty from sweating and what not. Use enough conditioner but not like a handfull or anything. Try to stay away from high heat too, like blow drying on super hot. Good luck!!

conditioner, any kind of good moisturizing shampoo, hot oil treatments, the heat of your blow dryer(a little damaging though), any kind of leave in conditioner, that you put in after getting out of the shower, and don't wash out. good luck.
