My hair is dark blonde and has a lot of variation. I've never dyed it before. Colors I want: bright purple (more bluish than not), bright red (stop-sign), or bright orange. Rememmber, I'mn talking solid colour, not some lame tint.
Also, I'm a pretty happy person with what you could call a boringly average style. I want to be crazy and rock n' roll without freaking people out or being called emo. How can I work this??

attempt particular effects hair dye. It maintains to be an prolonged time, a minimum of for me. I had Atomic purple and it could final for months before touch ups. Bleach hair, then positioned the dye on. The lighter the hair the greater incredible it's going to be, and it will additionally be the real colour it relatively is meant to be on the hair. do no longer over bleach. to maintain colour, upload the dye on your conditioner. It facilitates refresh your colour in between coloring sessions. And to do away with stains on sinks and your self, hairspray! Spray and enable it set for a minute or 2, reckoning on how long it relatively is been on the section, and wipe away.

Hi Graceful! I would strongly recommend going to a pro for the dye job. They will know which colors will take best in your hair. I love the orange idea! If you don't want to go to a pro, try manic panic hair dye. It's serious! You might want to strip your hair or bleach it first so it's even brighter. Good luck!

If I was u I wouldnt dye my hair. But if I were going to, I would do the red only not as light, or the purple bluish color.

Fire engine red is best for beginners. Remember, you HAVE to bleach, and it fades pretty quickly, so, if you can, wait as long as possible between shampoos. No one will call you emo. Emos dye their hair BLACK not crazy colors. If anything they'll call you weird. Your haircolor doesn't really change what people call you.

YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL!!! cause the tones u want may not turn out so good... like u might want blue and it can come out green, BLEACHING ISNT NECCEARY IT ALL DEPENDS, so u can go to like a salon or something, but i really liked the hair style jes(from rock of love) has. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=215157965
its light blinde, and pink! check it out u can do light blonde and blue. but be creative and pick a color you wont get tired of seeing and wont mind re-doing ever so often. AGAIN BECAREFUL and have fun
BEST OF LUCK

You might be called emo, if you go with the purple, my friend did her hair red, and she was called goth, so I like Orange the best, it is fun and funky.

huh. Well if you don't want to freak people out, I would go with a more subdued maroon or darker orange. You could even try doing highlights instead, but it's up to you.

try a strong burgundy and see if you can tolerate it. before going extreme. and there are some pretty solid semi permanent colors out there just ask a stylist. so you don't damage your hair
