Water is the number one dehydrater for hair, and shampoo also dehydrates hair, causing frizziness.
These can be unknown effects to many, who think not using shampoo leads to dryness and frizz, when alas, it is using it too often that causes it.
You should shampoo hair every 2-3 days, and conditioner every day.
Both your shampoo and your conditioner should have an added moisturising effect.
Using shampoo less often lessens dryness and frizz, but not using it enough leads to other bad effects, and it is good to use a conditioner every day.
When you dry your hair, if you use a blow dryer, blow it in the direction hair grows only, on low heat, to avoid frizz.
If you dry by towel, don't rub it, as this creates friction and causes frizz.
Blot your hair with a towel to absorb excess moisture and air dry it.

If you stop using shampoo completely you'll definitely smell, but if you only wash it every two to three days your hair won't be as dry. Not everyone needs to wash it daily unless they are involved in heavy sweating.

Sounds great but better still, go get a rasta weave done to your hair and forget the shampoo and soap.

Ur scalp will start to smell and ur hair wouldn't look smooth & silky. It would be harder to maintain as hair would get frizzier unless u use natural heena powder/seyakai to help ur hair look soft & shiny.

It would get oily and hang in clumps. Some of that goes away if you brush it every day, and wash your brush weekly. It's gooey-er if you have curly hair.
