basically i dyed my hair black on wednesdau (live colour one) and not its thursday i want to dye it a sort of subtle purple colour. do u think this is a bad idea? like will it streak? please help! im jetting off to essex in the morning to see my BF and need to know what to do.

Tinting your hair is damaging, so it's not recommended to use coloring products so close to each other. Streaking is the least of the problems using harsh chemicals will do to your hair. I'd be much more concerned about breakage. Have a professional colorist treat it for you.

You can dye your hair from purple to black without a problem. Once you have dyed your hair black it's going to take a longggggg time for any other color to pick up. The only way you can turn your hair a different color in the next 40 days is by bleaching it out and then dying it again. Im telling you this based on personal experience and alot of time sitting in a salon. Consult a profesional before you procede they will tell you exactly what i said.

if it's a wash out dye, just keep on washing your hair till it's gone. You can get some temp purple color and try combing it over your black hair... which would give it a subtle purple on your black... it probably will streak. You need to check out the package directions and see if they advise against doing this. I'm sure it would be on their web site if you've thorwn the box out.
Either way, dying hair is always going to kill your hair no matter what. Just remember that when it's that time to re touch your hair.

it should not be a problem if any thing goes wrong just go to the shop and buy a stripping lotion it will take all the colour out of your hair and you will be left with your natural colour.

I don’t think it will damage your hair unless you do it really frequently. But why not leave it black? Your boyfriend might like that more than purple.

no u cant but there is 1 day hair dye by it other u will kill ur hair & might lose some

I would let the black fade out if it will, if not go to the hairdressers. Please do not bleach or anything at home. well you know.. i'm not saying your going to bleach but ehh
