Hair - August 2007

I had lice for about 7 years. i have nice medium long hair. I went to the pharmacy and tried all kinds of shampoo and soap but i still cant get rid of lice. and i can`t be bald because it took years for my hair to grow this long. (medium). PLEASE HELP ME AND GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO.!!!!!

Apparantly or alkali liquids eg vinegar lemon juice have a bleaching effect but i heard from someone else that it makes your hair soft but it doesnt bleech the hair. I really want to have some blonde highlights in my hair i would go to the hairdresser but would like to know if there is a cheaper alternative.

I have medium length dark blonde hair, its shaped at the front with long layers, I have pale skin and blue eyes with high cheekbones and a long face, does anyone know any haircuts I could get coz my hair is so boring!! only thing is I couldnt get anything with a side shed coz I have a huge cows lick, any ideas?? please help!

I dyed my hair purple but it keeps washing out. I saw something on www.trademe.co.nz awhile ago and it was tubes of shampoo and conditioner that wash more colour through it or something.....the specific colour to keep your hair colour vibrant and new. The one im after is the one that keeps pinks and purples looking vibrant, and im willing to purchase over the internet (aslong as the websites secure). I thought it might be Manic Panic brand but I looked on the website (presumably American) and I saw no such thing. Thanks

I dyed my hair tonight myself with a box of hair dye, but I don't like the way it came out (there's pretty much no difference between it and the color i had before)... I'd like to dye it again tonight, but the directions say not to dye it again for 14 days. Is it okay if i dye it again tonight? Why does it say you should wait 2 weeks before you dye it again?

I'm getting my hair cut for my first day of high school this saturday.

- Long, Oval face
- High forhead
- Side bangs on the left
- Light brown natural colored
- Naturally straight, frizzy, and flips out at the ends so I straighten it. WILL NOT hold any curl.
- Long, right past the bottom of my bra strap in the back...
- Pale skin, freckles
- Blue-Green eyes (lighter-medium) They change and are a mix.
- Hair more towards the thicker side
- I'm 5'9" and very skinny, with a skinny long neck

I naturally have dark brown hair, light brown eyebrows, pale fair skin and blue eyes

I had my hair coloured blonde by a professional although it didn't turn out how I expected, it was kind of an orangey-yellow although the stylist described it as 'golden blonde' and blamed it on the natural red undertones of my hair.

I don't go to her anymore (funnily enough) lol, but was thinking about going blonde again, can anyone post a pic of the kind of blonde they think would suit me, I'd prefer it to look as natural as possible, not like platinum lol....or will this orange thing happen again, because of my natural red undertones?? any help would be great thanks.

I have really thick long ( 5 inches past my shoulder )straight and black hair. I havent had it cut in some time ( had it cut last summer ). I stopped blow drying straightening curling anything with heat , because my mom said if i kept it up my hair will be all nasty when i grow up , and thats not what i want ( im 12 now ) . I blow dry it every time after i shower , i shower every day during the school year ) then i straighten it and sometimes curl it . This is like throughtout the year using the blow dryer and straightner.

Now its really dry its not as shiny and there are so many split ends , its so damaged . I cut the ends of my hair my self , not like a whole hair cut but the split ends at the end of my hair . Plz help ive been doing nothing with my hair for 3 days and i cant do it throughout the year. Plz gives me tips or suggestions on damaged hair i really appreciate it .

I know im supposed to get it trimmed every 6 to eight weeks but im letting it grow.

I have very thick hair and it seems all the styles I find are for thinner hair (often to make it look fuller) which just isnt't working out.
I want a style that I wont need to spend 3 hours on everyday.
