Get to your favorite salon. You need the stylist to layer your hair. She'll probably recommend a gel or mousse , or maybe just hair spray. Be sure to tell her it's too heavy. Good luck! :)

Sometime when people have naturally thick hair it can feel really heavy. i know people who get a certain kind of layer cut into their hair to take some weight off... you could always talk to someone at a salon. in order to keep your hair in place i suggest hair wax. its pretty thick so you only need a little bit and it should hold it in place while still being flexible.

Try L'Oreal Mega Hold Spritz. It's like a hair spray but not as messy. I don't know if thinning will help: my hair is thin and heavy at the same time - it won't hold any curl or style.

To spike your hair in back , your hair needs to be layered and textured. To hold your hair and spike in back.Mouse is to lite of hold it wont hold your hair in the back, try a texture cream something that feels lite but gives you a stronger hold.

To keep it in place use hairspray or gel and to make it lighter you could go to a hair salon and have them thin it out.

you could go to the salon and get it thinned wich costs about 75$ or you could hair spray it the straighten over it imediatley, and that will make it stay up. thats how i did my liberty spikes when i had short hair

try get or mouse to keep it in place but as for lighter try cutting it shorter or layering it because it will still be as long but on the top layers it will be shorter so theres less hair so its lighter.

Either get your hair thinned when you get it trimmed/cut next time. Or buy thinning shears and do it yourself. Basically, thinning it takes some of the weight out without losing length.

Not mousse. That won't really help. Try gel or hairspray.
