Hair - August 2007

Currently my hair is sorta not long, but shaggy a bit over my eyes, i like it a lot, but for ROTC I have to get it cut again, not shaved head but like kinda short, although it gives me some styling options with my hair, Im going to be a Junior in High School, I know that the I dont know what you call it (cowlick) in the front is out of style, any ideas?

They give me about 2 inches at the top at maximum, not touching my ears

I am turning 18 next month and I want to have an awesome hairstyle. I'm not inviting any guys so I don't need to impress anyone but I want to have a great hairstyle for my 18th. My hair is about medium volume and it's dark brown and about three inches below my shoulders. I don't have bangs but I may get side swept ones before the partay. What should I do?

Actually I already know how to do tracks. I already know how to sew them in. What I really want to know is how do you make the hair blend with the hair?? I don't get perms. It's not an option. So I can't gel it down. My hair will curl back up, but I buy straight hair. How do you get it to blend it??(without gel) Thanks alot!!!

okay so i had highlights done...and the lady messed them up..it looked like she died my whole head the color of the highlights!!! and they were turning green because of swimming .....sp then i wanted my hair died back to my natural color..and so now it is all fried and ruined!!! how can i make it healthy again without going to a salon, or spending a fortune??

i have light brown hair with some gold in it, and i do get natural highlights when im out side alot, but i havent been enough lately or ive had a hat on. do u know any highlight enhancers (sun-in type) that i could do quickly at home and preferably use a blow dryer instead of the sun?

This is the second time first time i went to a salon and the color was jet black and it came to be like a cherry color, and then it kept on fading untill it finally came lighter like in less then a month, well this is the second time i did it my self this time first day it was perfect a week after it started coming of every time i would take a shower and now it kind of looks like dark brown and even lighter in the sun why can't i retain the color black in my hair ????

Another question also how long do i have to wait until i dye my hair again i did it a week ago????

Man this sucks... i've been denying it for the longest time but i've now come to terms. I'm only 23 and it makes me feel much older thinking about it. No bald spots yet but you can tell its thinning. I started using rogaine about 3 weeks ago and i haven't seen much difference. Although i hear it takes at least 3 months to notice anything. My question is to anyone out there that has used rogaine or is using it... does it work? Will it regrow hair? And does it work for general thinning on the top of the scalp?

I naturally have pale fair skin, light blue eyes, med brown eyebrows and dark brown hair (very dark in contrast to my other features) can someone please post a pic of a blonde that they think would suit me?

I don't mind if its an all-over blonde, blonde highlights (as long as they're not chunky and streaky) or a combo of highlights and lowlights...but pleeeeease post a pic so I can take to my stylist, thanks :)

Ok so...my friend..she has long thick brown hair..she wants a perm! And i have known so many people that have ruined their hair that way...her mom is doing it for her.. and even tho her mom has worked in a hair salon before..i still think its a bad idea..and i need a good argument on why its damaging to her hair..she thinks that very few people have problems with it..i need some people that have had bad experiences with perms to share..thanx (:

I've tried out hair straighteners at the mall and they left my hair looking perfect (smooth w/ no frizz) the only problem is that they were $100. Does anyone no of a type of straightener that is under $50 that will leave my hair smooth and frizzless?

I've had my long hair. My husband David loves it long. Most people would say your hair your business. My husband David is blind and loves my long hair and even calls it his security blanket. My hair is past my butt. I have triplets age 4 1/2 mos. I cut it once. I had the hair dresser take off 6 inches and he had a fit and he was mad at me. He was so upset.
