Man this sucks... i've been denying it for the longest time but i've now come to terms. I'm only 23 and it makes me feel much older thinking about it. No bald spots yet but you can tell its thinning. I started using rogaine about 3 weeks ago and i haven't seen much difference. Although i hear it takes at least 3 months to notice anything. My question is to anyone out there that has used rogaine or is using it... does it work? Will it regrow hair? And does it work for general thinning on the top of the scalp?

Just a thought. . .When I moved to a tropical location and it was hot, hot, hot and I was sweating, sweating, etc. . .my hair started thinning. I was blaming it on some bad meds but was getting really worried. A friend, used to the climate, told me about Nixoral or something very close to that. It's in a dark blue bottle and it's a medicated shampoo. The sweating was causing a fungus on my head and this shampoo stopped it and I could feel my hair growing back almost immediately. I never got it all back but it's so much better. So if you sweat a lot and your head itches but you don't have dandruff, could just be. Be very careful about mixing products. I had a professor that used Rogaine and over an entire semester he didn't get any more hair but then I guess it doesn't work for everyone. You have my sympathy and you know I hope you find a solution. . .

My husband has lengthy hair and has been utilizing Loreal Melting Gel for years. It has certainly not brought on him to lose his hair. Probably the worst factor that you simply would do for your hair to make it "fall out" (extra like holiday off) is bleach it. Bleaching could be very damaging if no longer performed accurately. So maintain utilizing your gel, you don't have anything to lose! Pardon the pun.
