So im thinking about getting my hair cut ive have long hair my whole life and i love it i take good care of it and its gorgeous but now alot of damage is catching up with it so i was thinking about cutting more off than i ususally do and letting it grow out so it can be healthy i just dont know how short to go right now its about 4 inches past the mid back i want to cut a least 4 inches off because thats the most damaged i want it to look different than it does but i still want it to be long enough so that i can curl it pull it back braid it and put it up i will not cut it more than past the shoulders so.... how much should i cut off so that it gives me a differnt look, but is still long enough for me to do alot of things with it? im just confused as to how short i should go so if anyone has any suggestions id be happy to hear them! please and thank you to everyone!!!!

I'm only twenty years old and my hair thinning. I think this happened when I lost a large amount of weight a few years back from doing an extended crash diet. What can I do? Is it expensive to go to a hair clinic to regrow hair? Do those over-the-counter products really work? I want fast results, if that's possible. This is really depressing for me and this will take away my self confidence immensely if I don't do something about it. I take multi-vitamins, eat healthy, exercise, and use special conditioners, but this doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Please help me!

so yesterday i tried highlighting my hair with lemons and it worked pretty good but i want to finish today and i have a few questions.
1. how do you know when its done, does you hair like feel different or something?

2. how long do i have to stay out until its done. if i stay in the sun longer will it turn lighter?

3. does it fade?

I want my hair lighter before school starts because i usually dye m hair over the summer and i didnt this summer and I always say the sun turned it light but my friend told me about sun in because my dye was ruining my hair.... Does sun in really work??? HELP!!!!!

Okay, I'm assuming that since you're reading this, you are a girl/guy who prefers brunettes rather than blondes or redheads. If for some reason, you're on the wrong page, or you like blondes/redheads better than brunettes, then please stop reading and go answer another question.

But, if you like brunettes, please read on.

Well, I have brunette -- more specifically, dark brown -- hair, and I must say, I DO NOT like my almost-black brown hair. I just seem to like honey-colored or blonde hair, I don't know why. And I think you're thinking, Just go and dye your hair, but the thing is, my mom and dad don't let me. They say I'll just hate it and it will look totally fake. *sigh* I guess the only solution is to start liking my dark brown hair. How? I don't know. So I thought maybe you could kindly state some of the reasons you like brunette hair and not blonde hair, so I could read them and know that there are some reasons why brunette hair is liked. Please don't be harsh. Thank you =)

I really want to do something different and dramatic for this upcoming school year, so I want to dye my hair. Some people say I should dye my hair black, and some people say I should dye my hair blonde. I don't know about the blonde but I need you guys help so heres some pictures.

One of my best friends is getting married and i'm a bridesmade. I cant decide how to do my hair all i know is that i want it half up half down... Ive been looking at some of the other responses and none of them are working for me... Her wedding is in October so i have some time but i would like to figure it out now so i dont have to worry about it...also the bride just wants our hair the same mine is long down to the middle of the back the same as another girls then the other is a little longer than shoulder length. and the MOH hair wants to be just a tad different. but she wants the same as half up half down.... please help if you have any ideas Thanks

hes willing to change something about himself but theres nothing i want to change about him so im kinda in a pickle he wants this of me but i don't want anything of him and he won't let up i don't want to break up with him because i do love and care about him but if he can't let this go i think i'll have to leave him for some one who can appreciate me for me and not want to change my body unless i want to change it what should i do?

im going camping and i want to try putting lemon juice in my hair to make it go a little bit lighter. i know that lemon juice damages your hair but ill mix the lemon juice with water. so i was wondering if it will work?

I'm allergic to almost every plant you can think of that they use in most shampoo's. so i can't use Garnier Fructise, Herbal Essences, and definately not Aveda. Any suggestions of good quality shampoo that i can use?

(I've just started having reactions in the past month & 1/2. so i'm stuck with Baby Shampoo. BLECH!)

a while back, I started using a strong cleansing shampoo on my head, called pantene purity. over time after using it i noticed the shape of my hair changing over time, which i didnt think much of. Then i started noticing my hair really thinning in certain areas, even along the sides and back of my scalp where i applied the shampoo with my hands.

I quit using a year ago, and it is still somewhat thin, and I switched to all natural shampoo. I should also say, that I used to have REALLY thick hair all over my scalp, and i still do on the top mostly. But I still have thinning in certain areas like the sides and back. Also, Pantene changed the shampoos ingredients over time and I have heard of other people complaining about it as well. Is it possible for my hair to grow back the way it used to be??

I like the soft, slighty over the eyes "swept-back" look with bangs...long and off to the side, but still noticable. I don't think the "harsh" bang look (straight across the forehead) looks good with my rounder face. Is this kind of bang still in? My hair is pretty long, as in down to my chest. Should I stick with the bangs and length or try something new?

right now i have side bangs, blonde hair, and blue eyes with an oval-like face.

Is it okay to pluck your unibrow every single day because I don't wanna see a trace of it grow back. I hate it and each time I pluck... WIll the hairs come back faster and thicker? If so, than I won't pluck everyday. Please tell me the truth if it is okay to pluck everyday and if I do, is there any chance of the hairs coming back the next time fewer and fewer? Please answer this question is a good manner. 10 points are easy to get here!
