Yes, It does lighten dark brown hair. My natural hair is dark brown, gold highlights and little blonde. Using lemon and natural honey with water, changed that. I stayed in the sun for like 30 minutes and the results were great. It made my hair change colors to a much more lighter shade. But if it does get like sticky, right after my 30 minutes of being in the sun, I would rinse it out with conditioner.

Yes.. It will Make it Look a bit blonder and lighter..For better results.. stay in the sun while the juice is in your hair.

Here are some other ways to make your hair lighter-

Buy a spray bottle and put hydrogen peroxide in the bottle and spray in your hair. Stay in the sun while the peroxide is still in your hair... don't put too much in your hair or your hair will look orange. =0

You Can also use Blonde expressions shampoo and conditioner.

Hope This Helped + HTH

It does, but the more important question is what kind of undertones does your hair have? my hair pulls red and if you leave lemon juice on for a while, it will either turn lighter brown or a reddish color.

yes it does but I would suggest if you wanted good results mix lemon with water spray it in your hair and sit outside for about 10-15 min. I don't remember if you get immediate results but I know it works.

I think that lemon juice thing is an old wives tale. I tried it as a young girl, all summer one summer and all it did was dry my hair out.

It will. I don't think you will get a blond out of it though. Not unless you reapply and stay in the sun.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for over thirty years.
Hope this helps.

yeah it works.
but i dont know if you've heard of the brand panama jack,
they have a product called '' legally blonde ''
&& it isn't damaging to your hair but it lightens it when you go in the sun.
im not sure if it is discontinued.
but we sell it at the store that i work at.

not really it only works on light brown hair but being in the sun just lightens it naturally

it works, but it may turn it more redish. what ever you do, if you have dark brown hair do not use sun-in that turns your hair orange. I used it many many years ago, big mistake.
