Okay, I'm assuming that since you're reading this, you are a girl/guy who prefers brunettes rather than blondes or redheads. If for some reason, you're on the wrong page, or you like blondes/redheads better than brunettes, then please stop reading and go answer another question.

But, if you like brunettes, please read on.

Well, I have brunette -- more specifically, dark brown -- hair, and I must say, I DO NOT like my almost-black brown hair. I just seem to like honey-colored or blonde hair, I don't know why. And I think you're thinking, Just go and dye your hair, but the thing is, my mom and dad don't let me. They say I'll just hate it and it will look totally fake. *sigh* I guess the only solution is to start liking my dark brown hair. How? I don't know. So I thought maybe you could kindly state some of the reasons you like brunette hair and not blonde hair, so I could read them and know that there are some reasons why brunette hair is liked. Please don't be harsh. Thank you =)

1. People tend to take brunettes more serious.

Well, I have naturally honey blonde hair, and I don't like it at all!!! I used to have bright red hair when I was little *sigh*, but now the color changed into this light honey blonde... Which is just ugly for me!!! And although I like red hair a lot (sad, that this color changed), I also lllooovvveee dark brown - black hair. I always envy those girls who have naturally dark hair. Yesterday I was in the beach and saw this awsome-looking Hispanic girl with dark skin, dark eyes and waist length, shiny naturally black hair... I couldn't stop looking at her and I was totally envious of her looks!!! So if you don't like your dark brown hair and want to change it, maybe you should dye it into black! Because, honestly, if I were you (*sigh*), I mean, if I had naturally dark hair, I would totally dye it into black. You see, if I dyed my light hair into black, the blonde roots would be visible after a few weeks, and I would have to touch up the roots very often... And because YOU have dark hair, you could dye your hair into black and wouldn't have to dye your roots that often....

Gosh, be happy for the way you look!! And know that some girls (like ME) are envious for such hair!!! Wish I had your hair!!!

It's what you were born with, if you're young, I guarentee in a few years you'll love your hair colour. Most of the time peoples hair colour looks best on them instead of dying it because it goes better with your features. Brunettes aren't better than blondes/redheads and they aren't better than brunettes.

I like brunettes. And if you honestly want to colour your black, by all means go ahead. But pleasse colour your hair and dont dye it. There is a difference. Also remember to make sure your'e not allergic to hair coloiurs.

well when i was littler my hair was a lightish brown.
i spent lots of time in the sun (it's called sun kissed) and now my hair is lighter and got blonde bits. it's al natural but yea it took me a couple of years. and you could try talking to your parents and explian the situation. mabye if u get it semi - permentent then you can see if you like it or not....
and your parents will beable to see how it loooks

l love dark brown or black hair blondes look so pale and plain. l'm not attracted to blondes at all. you should change the picture on your avator to a darker colored hair so everyone will know you are pretty. l have dark brown hair and l Love my hair l've always felt sorry for people born with blonde hair. they are so plain.

You could try changing your hairstyle to something that you would like better.
