Sometimes when you wash your hair everyday, you wash out your hair's natural oils. So maybe wash every other day.

Yes, I mean it won't kill it but the natural oils that your scalp produces are good for your hair, and the more you wash it the quicker it gets greasy. However if you're on holiday and are swimming every day it is better to wash it because the chlorine in the water is not very good for your hair and makes it feel disgusting so washing it out is a good thing.

It varies from person to person. Most hair stylists will tell you that it's good to wash your hair every OTHER day in order to keep your hair's natural oils..(these oils keep your hair healthy.)
I personally, follow this advice. I wash my hair every other day and my hair is in GREAT condition. On the days that I blow dry my hair, people constantly ask me "what do you use in your hair to make it look so good??" - truth is, I just use aussi shampoo (which btw in my opinion is a really good brand, my fav!) & fructis conditioner, nothing special.. I think my hair looks as good and healthy as it does because I don't wash it EVERY day - just every other day... thus, keeping the natural oils in to keep my hair in it's best condition =)

Hope this helps!

Also, just a little response to one of the other answers above, if you wash your hair every other day, you hair is NOT going to "smell bad"... in fact, on days that I don't wash my hair, if my boyfriend gives me a hug and happens to smell my hair, he always sais "your hair smells so good!" lol, I think that my hair tends to hold the scent from the shampoo & conditioner that I use, washed or not.

so that just goes to show, there's absolutely NO harm in not washing your hair every day =)

Not exactly; it all depends on an individual's make-up. For example, I have an oily scalp and have to wash my hair everyday. I would recommend talking to your hairdresser though and have them recommend something for you because you don't want a product that will cause build-up on your hair. I've posted an article below that may help.

Some people say it takes away the natural oils, but I wash my hair every day and it is fine.

Yes, it is better for your hair to wash it every 3 days or so. Washing it strips the hair of its natural moisture and so forth, which makes it drier and more brittle. If you wash it less often, at first it'll be greasy but after your hair gets used to it, it'll be softer and silkier.

Well It could be bad because I went to beauty school and they tell you that you get like a waxy build up.

no you will be fine
you will stay clean, smell good , and feel great
dermatologists say it's ok so that's good enough for me
just don't comb your hair a lot or pull it too tight
