I think having your brows shaped would do a world of wonders for your eyes. To reduce the redness after waxing, take a tums before going in to get them done. Also, no tanning or heavy sun before you get them done because this damages the tissue around your eyes and skin could rip when you get them done. You will not be allowed to get your brows waxed if you use heavily concentrated products for acne such as RetinA for the same reasons as tanning. You really don't need a lot done but a nice clean up of all the stray hairs will really make the brows stand out more and you may not feel like you need to fill them in all that much. If you still feel like you need to fill them in, use a powder instead with an angle brush. This will give you a much more natural look and you won't look like such a different person when the makeup comes off. Good luck- and prepared to be addicted to waxing :)

You have a lot of great answers already! I agree with no uncertainty that you should do it because you want it done, not to please someone else....I also agree that you should have it done professionally the first time....I just tweeze mine now to keep them shaped, but a person can really mess them up doing it themselves the first time around....and you should try to get away from the liquid liner....liquid can appear much too bold, personally I use a pencil but I use a shade lighter than my hair color and then brush to blend. Also I don't think anyone mentioned it, and everyone is affected differently, but be prepared for some bumps and irritation for a short while after you have them waxed the first time. Some people only have redness, while some have bumps similar to razor burn bumps....hope it all works out for you and should you choose to go ahead with it, I think you will like the end results.

I would always recomend getting your brows done professionally. B/c they will arch them perfectly for you, and then when they grow back in you can just pluck the "stubs" coming in to keep the style that they wax for you. Also, you mentioned that you use liquid eyeliner to fill in the areas you feel are missing - a MUCH better alternative would be powdered eyebrow color. Its all I use. It goes on as powder so it looks natural, liquid and pencil sometimes can look too thick or fake. Just google "eyebrow powder" and some products will come up! Good luck

Definitely. See a professional. It makes a huge difference. You don't necessarily have to get a "feminine arch", but a professional will do wonders for you.

hi,
thinning is not really what you need but shaping, i would go to a salon. it is in exspensive and easier than doing it yourself, an arch would enhance your eyes but go easy on the shadow and underliner. i know young ladieslike to do that but if you look at current fasin models they don't wear make up to be seen any more they enhance what they have with it. less is always good to start with you can always add.
good luck

The link didn't work but its okay because if you think your ready to get you eyebrows done then go for it.. I got mine waxed when i was 12.
If you want to feel more feminine and sexy, then defiantly do it. If its just your friends wanting you to do it then i say wait until you want to.
=D Good luck

yes get them done professionally, they can give you the arch that fits your face structure... before you go grow them out as much as possible so they have more to work with. You'll love the results

take the advise of your friend, have it done first at the beauty salon, you'll learn to do it on your own in due time. And yes, it will brighten up your features especially your eyes. good luck!

I think your eyebrows are fine. I never get mine done professionally because they are never the same...one always looks different. Yours look nice and symetrical.
I'd leave 'em!
