I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I started dying it black-brown about a year ago. Recently, I decided I wanted to go back to dirty blonde and then get blonde high lights...

About how much will this process cost?

If I was doing it (I live in a medium-sized town in Texas) I would charge $50 an hour to color it. This is usually considered a color-correction because you want to go back to your natural color with highlights. As long as you say your hair is, it will probably take about 4 hours. So, the normal price would be around $200. Usually I give my clients a little discount if I know they will be coming back to get their roots done in about 8-12 weeks. So if you were my client I'd probably charge about $125 and charge you about $85 to do the roots. Hope this helps. I don't know where you live. If you live in a larger city the price will probably be more. And it also depends on the salon you go to. I wouldn't suggest doing this at home because stripping the dark color can really damage your hair if you don't know what you're doing.

I live in the St.Louis area. Actually about 45 miles from the
City. I have a friend who is a hair dresser. She does my cousins hair about every three months. She highlights all of her hair, in a dark blond. She charges her $85.00. She also cuts her hair at the same time. After she has highlighted it.

Over or about 175.00 because they might have to bleach it, dye it dirty blonde, then hightlight it. oh i forgot about the length. Its gon' be about 200.00-275.00. Have you thought about going to one of those hair school. They do a great jod plus its less expensive the teacher a hairstyles and they assist student when dying hair.
