ok right now my hair is brown on top and black underneith, what if i want red and blonde streaks over the top layer on the brown, would it look good??[i dont want to dye over the black because it might damage my hair] and im doing this over the summer before i start highschool

Just wondering if theres anybody here who has got their hair chemically straightened and if so did it:
- damage your hair alot and thin it?
- did it last until the roots came?
- does it actually straighten your hair? or just make it wavy?
- would i be able to wash it and have it dry so that it isnt really straight but moderately?
- does it require alot more care after the straightening?
- was it affordable?

dont expect you to answer all the questions but im just asking the ones i wanna know if you have answers to any it would be greatly appreciated!

p.s. if it helps to determine the questions, my hair is a messy sorta curly, not nice lol, hense the reason i want it permantly straightened.

i'll give you the whole story.
i bleach my hair twice a month and dye it bright red with no problems.
but sunday i dyed it all black, and hated it.
so i bleached it on tuesday.
then bleached it again on thursday.
then dyed it red today.
my ends are so fried, what can i do to help my hair.
it's so gross, my ends break off.
i know i shouldnt of bleached it right after i dyed it black.
but i couldn't stand having black hair.
HELP!

like i want my spikes to be like soft and not so hard and straight up. Mine only do that. ive tried lotsa gels, how do I get it all soft if you know what i mean?
