My hair feels thinner since I got layers. Has my actual hair density changed, or is it just the layers? Also, is it really bad to have thin to medium hair instead of thick?

I'd love to get a perm, but I'm afraid it will be too damaging. I haven't yet tried scrunching, but my hair is generally uncooperative. In case someone would like an example, here is what I want:

How can I get this without using heat, and about how much does a perm cost? After getting a perm, is there any way to get your hair healthy again?

I just got a new haircut and its shorter than i expected. I asked for two inches off and got a nice bob with layers. if flips up on the ends and i have a side part. unfortunately, i dont know what do do with it. when i scrunch it, it turns out frizzy and fluffly-almost like carrot top. and pony tales are a little lump at the back of my head. are there any options for my head?!

I usually take showers at night cuz I don't want to go to bed dirty and so i go to bed with my hair wet and when i get up in the morning theres a lump in the back at the top of my head in the corner... it like sticks up even when i go to bed with it dry and i can't straighten it cuz it's to complicated what can i do

I use an electric rotary shaver. Sometimes the hair cuts sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes I also get irritation. Can someone please give me tips of how to get a perfect shave i only have a problem with the neck area.

Usually Jesus is depicted with long hair. How come it doesn't cover His eyes?
Is this a trait of certain races (European?) that hair stays neatly to the side?
And not just Jesus too, most men of the ages of old grew their hair long, Aragon of the Lord of the Rings, Medieval people, cavemen, Braveheart, swordfighters etc.


How do they avoid needing to cut it in front?

I am loosing my hair big time and i tried hair, skin and nail vitamans and it worked on my nails but nothing else. My friend told me about taking prenatial vitamins. I'm 19...and I have quite a bit of hair on my stomach and chest. All the other guys my age that I see have like maybe a small line of hair down their stomachs, but that is it. I don't have like a fur coat or anything, but it's all over my stomach and chest. The hairs themselves are about an inch long. It's a little bit embarrassing when participating in water sports, and I find myself swimming and just removing my shirt in public less, if it all. Is this hair a good thing, as far as females are concerned? Is it a turn-on? Turn-off? Should I try to get rid of it?

I want to grow my hair longer but it won't budge! It is probably shoulder length and it get it trimmed a bit every two months to keep it in good condition but it never seems to get any longer! Any suggstions? Not extensions.

Ok, so my hair only stays straight when its cold outside, but when its like warm outside, my frend's hair is still straight. its not frizzed out like mine!!!!!!!! her hair is really! curly.

Okay, I know tons of people have asked this question. And I've looked up the answers you guys gave. But there are a few things I still don't have answers to.
My hair is permed and I'm Black. And I know chemicals are hard on my hair. But I can't just stop getting them. I wait until my hair is so unmanagable and horrible looking to get a perm. So what's an alternative? Is there one?
I don't use heat on my hair and I don't get perms too often. But my hair is breaking. I was wondering why though. I wear a head scarf, I oil it, avoid heat, and don't over perm. Any ideas.
People say to put moisture in the hair. What exactly do you mean. I use Indian hemp. Is that moisture?

I have mid to long hair that is quite fine, yet gets very frizzy if not cared for well. I'm going to invest in a new hairbrush, and have about 10 quid to spend. Should I get a ceramic one? What kind of bristles? What make? I live in the UK.
