I just got a new haircut and its shorter than i expected. I asked for two inches off and got a nice bob with layers. if flips up on the ends and i have a side part. unfortunately, i dont know what do do with it. when i scrunch it, it turns out frizzy and fluffly-almost like carrot top. and pony tales are a little lump at the back of my head. are there any options for my head?!

im sorry, its always shorter than you expect huh! i hat that. it will grow fast if your hair is like mine. i would straighten it or do it all in ringlets, that works too. i like the short hair in ringlets! its ahot hairstyle now! good luck!

You might want to try a flat iron, like a chi. It works real well and it can give you the flip at the ends. When I use it, it lasts at least a week for me. It is really easy and quick to do.

I have hair a biit longer past my shoulders, but i use this site for hair styling ideas. it has some ideas for short hair too. hope this helps, next time, why not suggest the hairstylist to cut your hair while its dry? Thats what my hairdresser does, afterall once its dry is when you can tell the true length! Good Luck.

I would not pay and tell her that its not what i asked for. The same thing happened to me. Just put it up a lot or try to hide it with a hat or something for a month. After that it should look normal.

I hope they didn't 'slice' (where they run the scissors thru your hair) which ruins some hair types and makes it super frizzy and flippy. Try smoothing and straightening if that is an option for you.

Could you use some sort of hair putty in it to give it some shape/ control?
In a couple of weeks you'll know how to deal with it better, I bet its actually quite nice.

Buy a wig. (ok.....fine, I am not sure. I will edit this and tell you more if I can think of something else.) You could let it grow back out and not worry about it. You could also wear a headband or whatever it is called.
