My hair is up to my waist and it's dark brown... It's also cut in V-shape. Is it too long? I'm only 20 yrs old.. Should I cut some of it, I feel weird all the girl in my school have mid-long hair. In the same time I like long hair. Does long hair give the impression of being dirty or unpolished??...

I honestly do not think that having hair down to your butt looks good. You are too young to make yourself look so old and Bohemian. Cut it and donate your hair to Locks of Love. Make use of it and make someone else's day.

Did you watch that episode of American Idol this season with the two ladies with their hair down to their butts? Did you honestly think they looked attractive?

I think you will be much happier with all that weight lifted off of you and if you donate it to a good cause. Unfortunately in this day and age, you look unprofessional and unkept if you have extremely long hair.

Good luck to you, I am sure you will look beautiful with hair at around your shoulders. It will be easier to manage and save you time and energy in the mornings. :-)
Remember, donate it to Locks of Love :-) you'll feel good about it.

Yes. It starts to look unpolished and it creeps some people out. It also has no style since it just hangs there. Try cutting off at least 4 inches and maybe getting some layers. It will look a lot better!

My hair was that long last year when I was 15. I thought it started to look really bad once it got that long. So I chopped 10 inches off and gave it to Locks of Love. I think that long of hair just looks sgraggy and too thin. I would get it cut and layered if I were you.

I personally like short hair and think that long hair is for the younger children or Eve from Adam and Eve (you'll know what I'm talking about if your religious) I would personally cut it between my elbow and shoulder. If its that long cut it and give it to locks of love. Thta's what i'd do. Hope that helped!!! Here's the sight!!!

I as well have really long hair and it doesnt look bad but it isnt pretty......if your hair is silky and straight you should keep it like that i LOVE long straight hair but if it is frizzy and curly then you should cut it......my hair is silky and wavy but i dont cut it b/c it is against my religion.......if YOU dont get bothered by it keep it long but if it is bothering you then you should cut of about 4 inches

When it is cut in a V it looks scragily and gross. Get 3 or 4 inches off and try getting long layers. Get Luck!

Personally, I like the look of long hair, as I find it very feminine and sexy. You can wear it in a variety of styles to give the look of professionalism.
If you decide to cut it, please donate it to locks of love.

No! If you like your long hair, keep it! Who cares what styles the other girls wear? As long as you keep it clean and tidy, and keep the dead ends trimmed, your hair will look healthy and clean, no matter how long.
And guys LOVE long hair! ;)

It depends on how well you care for it. I personally like long hair and think you should keep it.
