common myth: straighteners "fry" your hair.
yes, they can fry your hair if you use them incorrectly
make sure when you straight, you do the following things:
1. use the correct temp. for your hair type. warmer for more resistant hair, less warm for porous less resistant hair
2. use a thermal protecting spray, and make sure it's a good one. many sprays out there actually cause more damage. good protectors are biosilk by farouk, hotsets by redkin, iron guard by chi. another great product is anti-snap by redkin. it really helps with damaged hair
3. use a ceramic iron. CHI is good, another good one is ISO, and yet another is called the fusion. these are all pricey, but totally worth it. many ceramic irons on the market are actually only 60-70% ceramic and 30-40% metal, making it just as damaging as a metal iron.

thats a lie your hair won't turn gray. But if you are going to straighten your hair use heat protectant and a good straightener becuase your hair will get split ends and start to get dry. But you can help it stay healhy by putting leave in conditioners and stuff like that. I recommend you buy straightners like Sedu, Chi, Ionic ones they're really good. Also for shampoos and conditioners: Pantene and Garnier Fructis they're really good!!!

WEll if you straighten it alot, you will damage your hair. If you only use it a little or on special occasions than i think your hair will be fine.

pshhht.. it won't turn GRAY cuz of that.. gray is from stress and age.. but it does damage it.. like split ends and stuff.. unless u use some kind of protectant.. like frizz-ease or some other kind of straightening iron spray.. i've been straightening my hair for years and as long as I use that stuff my hair is fine

if you get a perm in your hair, your hair will fall out, but you can press your hair like every 2 weeks and give yourself little touchups
