I think alternative hairstyles would work the best in music school. Music is an art and having fun hairstyles goes right along with it. Music is fun and innovative and you need to show off your personality, why would it be wrong to show that side of you off through your fun hair and I'm sure you dress fun too. Don't let your sister run you down, you need to show off that you are into the arts now and having fun hair is all part of that. Good luck to you and have fun!

I would think alternative hair styles are a prerequisite for music school.

Good Luck!

i think you should ask the school. Private schools might have a rule against it. But, you would think that since music is a form of art, that they would accept self-expressions!

hmm.

well, if it makes any difference, i've gone to private school all my life, and there's no "dresscode for your hair."

i'm sure that some do, but i just think that's silly and censoring.
