Hair - February 2007

Hello I'm of Indian origin and live in the tropics. My natural hair colour when i was born was of a deep chestnut colour but it is now constantly fading to a rusty-red colour. I have NEVER ever had artificial colour in my hair. Should I be worried? Am i losing hair pigmentation or something? I'm 23 years old.

it grows fast and thick.......i have a mullet of sorts........can't style it any other way.........straighteners from shops don't hold and irons make it look funny and brittle.......what do i do???

ok so i started to notice it during the summer i would fin my hair everywhere and when i put my hands through it a lot comes out.. and it has become really thin.....what is it or what should i do to thicken my hair?? any special shampoo??

p.s. i'm 16 an i don't dye my hair or straighten it at all..myhair should be falling out this early!

I have curly brown hair. I am black, so I get relaxer (aka perm). My hair goes down to my mid-back. I want to get a relaxer, cut it shoulder lengnth, and straighten it. After that (like a week later), I want to dye it. I know you can dye it darker, but not lighter. So when you dye it lighter, what would happen to it? I am going to ask my hair dresser, but I would kind of like to know now, so I can plan what I will do with my hair. Thanks in advance.

I want to put my hair in french braided pigtails and sleep overnight so my hair is wavy in the morning when I take them out. Should I put mousse on it, hair gel, or just put it in braids alone? Any ideas to make it last all day without falling out? Thanks so much!

i have long thick hair and i went to my hair stylist and she said u can only thin your hair at the bottom because you dont want to damage the main part of your hair. the problem is only thinning the bottom of my hair doesnt do anything. so how do i thin my whole hair out while still keeping it healthy?

I know there have been lots of questions on this, but I haven't found what I'm looking for by reading those. I have light skin and dark hair. I started bleaching my upper lip hair when I was 10 or so. Then bleaching it just stopped working, so I shaved it every two or three weeks or so. This is over the course of about 2 and a half years. Around the time I turned 13 and several months after this, I had to start shaving it more frequently. Now I have to either shave or trim (with my cheap trimmer thing) it weekly. I have this ugly greenish tinge thing over my lip and I feel like a man! I'm almost 14, and expensive options like laser removal is out of the question. I also have fairly sensitive skin. What can I do to get rid of the shadow and not have to continue shaving my upper lip?

ok i dyed the underenith of my hair a "semi" permanet black color and i have had it for 2weeks now and its not fading at all! is there any way i can make it fade without ruining my hair???(and im not using shampoo that keeps the color in) pleassseee help!
