Hair - February 2007

I bleached my hair and parts of it didnt take. I pretty much have leopard spots. I would like to know how long i need to wait to bleach the parts that need it. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

I was thinking about getting a spiral perm to achieve ringlet curls, and in doing so, I would like some cute updo ideas that would work. Everything I am finding is for wavy hair, not full out curls. Are spiral perms completely out of style?!

i have hair that is a little longer than my shoulders and it's black. i'm thinking about getting side swept bangs(straight hair), but i'm not sure which kind. should i get the side swept bangs that cover like 1/2 to 3/4 of your forehead of like the ones that are like a strip of bangs (if you know what i'm talking about) that only covoer like 1/4 to 1/2 of your forehead. i really have no idea cuz i don't have any bangs and i have no idea which would look better.

I've never dyed my hair before but i'm considering the option. I've used shampoos, conditioners and sprays to bring out my natural highlights, but none of them have worked. Is there a way to make my hair look lighter without being so drastic and dying it? and is it true it can fall out if you dye it too much?

ps...my hair is dark blond if that helps

I have heard that blue fades to gray... and i honestly don't want gray hair. =)
i want my hair to be blue and PERMANENT. that's the big thing.
i want to be able to go swimming and wear clothes and not worry about it coming off.
my friend went to a salon and asked about blue hair dye, and her stylist said that the reason most places don't have it is because it is used with food coloring...
and you can't dye over food coloring.
and food coloring can stain. duh.

so i would like to know if there actually IS a permanent blue hair dye like there is for natural colors, if it will stain/run, if it will fade to gray, and if you can BLEACH over food coloring dyes.

Ever heard of combination skin? Well, I have combination hair. Its naturally curly, but I straighten it sometimes. Its colored. It gets frizzy. And because of the blow-drying and straightening and coloring, its dry and damaged. All the shampoos I've seen only cater to one problem area at a time. Does anyone know of a really great shampoo and condtioner that will take care of my combination hair? Why should I have to pick a problem to solve? Isn't there something that will tackle all the problems with one bottle??

I'm 15 and my hair is falling out and i dont kno why and its not just a little i lose like 60 strands of hair every time i get a shower (every day) This has been happening for like 2 months and the only like 3 reasons i could think of why it might be happening is 1) i did recently lose weight 2) i use frizz-ease shampoo n conditioner 3) my great grandmothers hair was all white by the time she was 16 so it might be genetic but hers didnt fall out and mine still has color do you know what could be causing it?? Or what i could do to stop it?? thnx :)

I have naturally stick straight hair, and i wear it like that every day. I was wondering how i can scrunch it to make it wavy. When i try it usually gets frizzy, or big, but it looks amazing when it is still wet. how can i make is stay? are there any other ways for scrunching my hair? what kind of products should i use? thanks for the help :]

sometimes it looks a bit lighter. especially in sunlight. but thats about the same tone i have..

my hair is long, its got long layers, i have long bangs (side swept) that are actually less prominent now that theyve gotten longer. whats a good everyday hairstyle for me to wear to school? i dont want to wear it down cause its a hassle, but pony tails are so boring. i want something like.. maybe a cool twist or braid, even if its a pony, just something funky and cool.. something pretty and effortless. any suggestions? (my hair is wavy but if i blow dry it its easily straight, i dont use products at all, it actually straightens really easily with a blow dryer) but normally its just wavy if i sleep on it.

When I try to style my hair when its dirty it doesn't work! Its goes limp not to mention it looks disgusting! EWW Like I have to wash my hair every freakin day! Duh

My hair is a little shorter than shoulder length, I have the side bangs, and my hair is super thin and super flat. I want it to be wavy, long, and have volume.

I don't want a perm. (made that mistake last summer, that's why I had to cut it short) And I don't want to spend a fortune on hair products. I am a pretty simple girl and like simple things...please help!

My hair's oily so I have to wash daily and blow dry it. I condition daily, but not the roots because it is oily. I've used a variety of conditioning and strengthening products but nothing seems to work well enough. It's driving me crazy!
