Hi,
I found a similar case to yours about another girl who was 17 at the time. There were some useful information regarding certain tests and stuff that you might want to check into, and stuff like that:
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/7521/
Some of the tests were:
1) Thyroid tests
2) Vitamin and Hormone tests
3) Check medications (if any) as well as shampoos.
Other cases such as this one here: http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/15269/ Show that it may be genetically linked.
This link here may offer more explanations for your situation as well as some things you can do.
http://www.fitnesshigh.com/topics.php?topic_id=31&topic=Hair%20Loss%20Treatment
However, I'm not quite sure if its that serious of a problem that you should do all that stuff, but I'm not the best one to ask. Anyways, check out some of these links, hopefully they will help you.

15 right about the is the age that your hair stars too turn over. It doesn't mean your losing hair it just means that your first hairs have matures. One hairs life is about 15 years. You still grow the same number of new hairs that you ever did but now the hairs that were new when you were a baby are falling out and being replaced by new ones. Basically what that means is your hairs been getting thicker from when you were a baby until now and from now on the new hairs that grow will just be replacing the ones that fall out. Your hair will stay the same thickness.

It always looks like more hair than it is when your hair is wet, so it may be the normal amount, up to 200 a day! But if it's increased recently, it may be something you need to talk to your doctor about. Stress, weight loss, and hormonal imbalances can all relate to that. I would suggest you have the doctor check your thyroid, because that is a hormone-related problem and with your age is very likely. It's not uncommon.

This happened to my friend...her hairdresser said to not use conditioner every day...use it every other day. And try not to wash your hair every single day...that's bad for your hair in general, but some people have to wash everyday since it can get so greasy. I'd just stop using conditoner so much.

First off I would go to the doctor. Either it's genetic or you're suffering from some severe vitamin deficiency.
