i have hair that is a little longer than my shoulders and it's black. i'm thinking about getting side swept bangs(straight hair), but i'm not sure which kind. should i get the side swept bangs that cover like 1/2 to 3/4 of your forehead of like the ones that are like a strip of bangs (if you know what i'm talking about) that only covoer like 1/4 to 1/2 of your forehead. i really have no idea cuz i don't have any bangs and i have no idea which would look better.

You should start out with the ones that cover the least amount of your forehead, because if you don't like it, then it won't be as difficult to wait for them to grow out. After you get them cut, wait about a week, decide if you like it or not. If you do, then go back to the hair dresser and ask to cut some more.

I have long straight black hair, and I just had my bangs done... mine is side swept covering 3/4 of my forehead... it's really nice and made me look a few pounds lighter (that's according to my co-workers = ) !!! ) But make sure a reliable stylist would cut your hair dear ...

I think the bangs that cover 1/4 of your forehead would be best. It sounds like you have a very classic hairstyle and color right now and these bangs would look elegant with that. You would also need to decide on how thick you want your bangs to be. I think medium-light would work.

Or, you could get straight, blunt bangs (I used to have them.) They look edgy and unique and sophisticated. They look good when they are long enough to reach past your eyebrows and are fairly thick.

if you have straight hair then ask for 1/4 bangs because i have that and it looks really good and my hair is straight and at that length.

If your hair is straight.... ask for wispy bangs. Not only will this be cute, but add some visual interest and texture to your hair.

"Pie-cut "bangs that are just below your eyebrows. Be sure to get them layer cut,so that when you curl them they won't be too short. Your hair stylist will know what "pie-cut" means.
