I've never dyed my hair before but i'm considering the option. I've used shampoos, conditioners and sprays to bring out my natural highlights, but none of them have worked. Is there a way to make my hair look lighter without being so drastic and dying it? and is it true it can fall out if you dye it too much?

ps...my hair is dark blond if that helps

I would NEVER EVER use lemon juice and peroxide on my hair. I knew someone who did that (she had dark blonde hair) and it turned orange. EWW! It's pretty much the same thing as Sun In. Double Eww! I think Loreal has a product now that "enhances" your natural color and brings out highlights. It's not a dye, it's more like a toner. You can also get a toner at a beauty supply store.

Repeated dying or bleaching will damage your hair if you dont condition it well and get regular trims. A less severe approach would be to put lemon juice on your hair and then to spend some time either in the sun or under a hair dryer. Will naturally lighten the hair. Good luck!

you could get a full foil highlights. but really to go lighter you would have to use some kind of bleach or lifting color. and yes hair can fall out if you bleach it out too much and dont get weekly treatments. i guess it goes the same for color. i dont know anyone that hair has fell out do to color but im still young!!
