Hello I'm of Indian origin and live in the tropics. My natural hair colour when i was born was of a deep chestnut colour but it is now constantly fading to a rusty-red colour. I have NEVER ever had artificial colour in my hair. Should I be worried? Am i losing hair pigmentation or something? I'm 23 years old.

I am a stylist and you should be happy to know that anyone that is in the sun often will experience natural lightening of the hair. When your hair is exposed to the sun the sun acts as a lightner (just as it fades paints and other colors over time) and thus your coloring changes. Most of the lightening should be at the top of your head and around your face where the sun hits the most (it is the hair that is the most exposed as opposed to hair underneath). It is very natural for hair that is originally(naturally) dark to fade up to a red-orange tone and so on. If it bothers you you can have a rinse that matches your natural color applied by a professional and it will tone it back down. Keep in mind that after a period of time in the sun (3-6 weeks) that it will fade up again.

That's no problem. Hair pigmentation changes as you grow older. My friend was born blonde, then brunette, and now she's a red head, without ever dying her hair! True, 23 is a little old for hair color changing, but everyone's different. Besides, be glad its not turning gray!

putting lemon juice on your hair then putting it interior the solar is meant to of course lighten hair. i've got by no potential tried it in spite of the undeniable fact that it won't harm your hair so it extremely is extremely worth a attempt. solid success (:
