My hair type is long and dark blonde And it gets frizzy at the tops and the bottom.

When I was 13, a friend of mine snuck up behind me in class and chopped several inches off a small section of my hair. At the time, I was trying to grow my hair out after a drastic (and overwhelmingly regretted) shortening, and didn't want to chop any off to make it even (it wasn't terribly noticeable at the time).

To compensate for that, for the past ten years mom has cut the sides of my hair on a slight angle whenever she trims it. Tonight, after she finished cutting it, I asked the usual questions,"how long is the rest of my hair now" and "has that strand blended back in yet". It HAS finally caught up with the rest of my hair, but -much to my annoyance- I have a good 9 inches of growth on that strand that are taggy and look like they've never been trimmed.

Naturally, I have dirty blond hair. About two months ago, I added some highlights in. A few days ago I dyed my hair a medium brown. It looks O.K., I do like the color... but you can still see some blond showing through... it gives the "faded" look. Now, I'm not sure as to what I should do... whether I should go to a salon and get it professionaly fixed or if I should redye it the same color. I don't know if that would help... would love some advice, I'm new to this.

About a year ago, I had a bad highlight job that ate my bangs off!!! I had fine thin naturally curly hair prior to this. Later that year, about 6 months later, I got a straightener because I couldn't stand the frizz that was growing back in. My hair was breaking after this and was just YUCK. I got it cut short in chopped layers and it looked so bad to me (everyone else said it was cute), that I was depressed and crying all the time. I since then have gotten partial extensions (GREAT LENGTHS), not on the crown or bangs area, but everywhere else in long cut curly layers. The only problem is they have to be washed and fluffed and curled daily to keep them from looking so stringy since I don't have a lot of hair length to fill them in. My hair underneath seems to be growing and is starting to even show signs of curl, but I am still so depressed and want my long naturally curly hair back. I hate going out in the wind. I cry when I see myself in the mirror!! HELP!!!
