Try sleeping with conditioner on a regular basis. Mane and Tail shampoo is good. Sleeping with Olive Oil and a shower cap is good (gross but good). You just have to work with it! Good luck

Redken makes a line of products for dry, coarse hair. Specifically designed for coarse hair, it softenes the cuticle through shampoo and conditioner. It also offers weekly deep treatments and several styling products!!! All Soft is the name.

Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise!! You can find it at your local Walgreen's. It's a 16 oz. container and its about $10.00. Do it once a week after u wash your hair. It conditions your hair, leaving it smooth and it repairs damaged hair. I have coarse, chemically treated hair and it works wonders and makes my hair grow too.

You can also try Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing PAK. It works just as well but comes in individual, small packs.

hot oil treatments... you could also try using cream leave in conditioners, and hair lotion, I like Profectives. Deep condition weekly, and if its dry shampoo less, like 1-2x a week and on inbetween days just rinse and condition to add softness and moisture. Comb hair while its wet, put in the moisturizer to seal in moisture, then put it in big braids, let it dry, then you can take the braids don to put it in a style.

I have hair the same as yours. I use mayo or miracle whip on my hair for 30 minutes a day. Then rinse it out thoroughly. It makes my hair soft and straighter. Easier to style. It has no greasy aftereffects either.
