I have natural black hair.. how do I get it to be a medium/light brown?!?

How can I dye it a medium/light brown without bleaching it?

If you are trying to get a lighter color hair you will have to strip, or bleach your hair inorder to get it to the shade you want, then color it after that. This process although can be done at home is safer to have done at a salon because it is very harsh on your hair and If not done right can ruin it.

You can bleaching with small %.This will not damage your hair and then you can put any brown shampoo.You will still have some of your natural black hair ,but after few times you will achive the colour you like.

with the bleaching i mean highlights ,not all head of course

With blk hair i would go to a salon.Black hair pulls up too much red or orange before it gets to a light brown you could get into a hair raising mess PLEASE GO TO A GOOD SALON

No way without bleach. If you do bleach use caution because it will turn red if not done properly.

i have black hair too and i am loving it so if you really want to get it done go to a salon dont try it at home if you have done it once and done it sucessfully then do that again but if not just go to a salon ....

Ask a hairstylist for help and get it professionally done. never try to do it yourself especially if you dint know what you doing.

Don't go messing with your hair color. It's probably really hot. Leave it alone!

Buy a dying kit in whatever color you want. They sell them at most department stores.
