YES YES YES !!!
look, i had the same problem for monthes, and after a lot of questions asked here, i have the best solution!!! here's what i do for my oily hair:
get herbal essance deep cleansing shampoo, the green stuff, and use it every time you take a shower
you can mix lemon juice and some water and soak it in, that seems to work for a lot of people, but it didn't do much for me.... but it smelled great!
if your hair is really really oily, get purell shampoo. but dont use to much of that, it makes your hair stiff.
now, what i think works the best after that is putting in some talcum powder (baby powder) and combing/brushing that in. it works great!!!
if your bangs are oily, its probably from your forehead... geat clearasil, the tube, and use that every day to dry your skin of oil.
DO NOT use conditioners except for herbal essance deep cleaning-the green stuff, touch your hair during the day, get stressed, or not wash your hair at all.
good luck!

Well, you could try washing it with Dawn dish dertergent. My hair used to get really oily and I did that. Condition afterward so it replenishes nutrients in your hair. If you touch your hair alot, try to avoid it. Oil from your hands gets in your hair and can cause it to get greasy if you touch it too much.
You might also be using too much conditioner...if it's alot, cut it in half and spread it out. Make sure you rinse good b/c if some of it is left it could make your hair feel greasy even if you just showered hours before.
Also, you might consider getting the shampoo/conditioner especially for oily hair.
And make sure when you work out or do something requiring alot of stress, take a shower afterwards. If you shower before your hair will be sweaty al over agai.
If you have bangs, make sure you keep your face clean. I use Mary Kay timewise, but you can also get Clearasil or something like that.
Hope this helps!

If you shampoo everyday and after a few hours it is greasy, there is a chance that you are washing it too often leaving your scalp to overcompensate. Not everyone NEEDS to shampoo everyday.
Try every other day. It is also possible that you are suffocating your scalp with products. Try this: shampoo every other day. Apply conditioner off the scalp, don't rub it in. When you apply styling products to smooth or curl your hair, apply to shafts only. Keep it off of your scalp. Many styling products contain alcohol wich can dry your scalp prompting it to produce more oil.

Use baby powder in your hair, just enough to dry up all the grease. Consider changing shampoos very frequently, and make sure you are using a shampoo for oily hair...they are very harsh but that might be useful if your hair get oily so easily.

Try getting a perm.
It seems to dramatically increase the time it takes for hair to get greasy.

Get baby powder on your fingers, rub them together, and run them down your scalp and lightly down the rest of your hair. Careful, don't use too much! Then you'll look like you have dandruff. That would suck. Good Luck!

dont put your hands on it if at all possible!! The oils in your hands cling to your hair and increase the grease in it. You may also have extra oily folicles. I believe they make a special shampoo for oily hair!

It could be your conditioner. Don't use very much of it, or only condition the tips so you don't get split ends. Or, try Pure&Basic's Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Conditioner.... works wonders! You can find it online at http://hono.stores.yahoo.net/
