So how many of you natural ladies use shea butter for you hair?

I'm thinking about switching to that instead of hair grease. I've been natural for 5 years, but sadly I still dont know many other natural women... just a few, and they still use grease too lol.

i got highlights last monday and its not blonde enough. I wanna go buy a box of dye and make it all blonde myself so that when it grows in alittle i only have to spend a little money. Will this turn out ok for me? can the colors can mix?

I'm going in for highlights, hair cut, wash, with Style. The total cost is $130 but she is discounting it because I'm a new client. She is giving me a 30% discount so the total cost is $91.00. How much tip should I give her. What is the industry standard so I don't offend her if she does a good job. I now this is something that is sliding scale based on her performance but what is the industry standard so I have a base to work with (I would hate to insult her/ or overtip on a first visit).

He a typical 2 year old and a wiggly one at that. When he got his hair cut, he moved and now one side is up higher on his head and its in the front so its very noticeable. Should I leave it alone or trim it so the other side is up at the same length so it will match? Daddy and I may be the only ones that notice but even when it grows back it will still be uneven. Suggestion please?

Help! I just took a shower and my hair is wet, but I can't find my hair dryer and I need to leave in an hour! I would just go outside with my hair wet, but it's 30 degrees outside. Is there anyway to dry my hair quickly without a blow dryer? I have a hair curler and straightener, but I'm pretty sure your not supposed to straighten/curl your hair while it's wet.

Well, it's finally time to start shaving... I've heard myths about boath of them and I wanted to ask which are better?
blades: will make your hair thicker and grow faster .
electric: will iritate your skin .
Are those true? What would you recommend? I was given as a present an electric shaver with 1 semicilindrical grid, is that good?

I was thinking of dying my hair black at the bottom, my natural hair colour is dirty blond. I know it will be quite a contrast, but I want something that will stand out. My hair is currently red at the bottom but it is very faded and I want it gone, will black dye over it or should I wait till I cut it out or something? If not black I was thinking blue. Does anyone have pictures of black and blonde/brown hair? Thanks. :)

I have very thick and curly hair, I am okay with that but I NEED a new style, I do sometimes straighten it and it looks fabulous BUT I can only wear that look so long..... I can NOT cut it shorter for fear it will turn into an afro (which it has done). Does anyone have any suggestions besides thinning it, and putting layers in it (I get this done every time I get my hair cut). Any in put would be GREATLY appreciated!
