I live outside the Philadelphia area and the hair style is perfectly straight/flat ironed hair. Scrunched hair is also quite popular. And hair length is a little longer than shoulders.

Yeah from Southern Cali, a lot of Black girls are getting into the old style greaser look like, Gwen Stefani (not the finger waves) like retro. Some have like the braid mohawk except without the braid and it's tied back with the high top, (some are reddish blonde on top), this is popular with every race, for a casual look, but for dressy, they wear fancy chandelier earrings with it. Then again , this is Cali a lot of people just have hair color of all rainbow. Not the hairstyle so much. And the style I'm talking about is so easy too.

for boys its long skater hair and for girls its hair a little past shoulders with side swept bangs a little past the nose.also most of the girls have high lights and dark roots growing in and some have waves in their hair.
